Played a Mech to 220 here's my thoughts. Mech is so close to being a good class. Just making Doomsday Device a bit more oppressive would put it on the map. Full Metal Machine could use a QoL and autofire all your salvo as well instead of holding down. The salvos themselves are pretty cool. Missile Pack could use a lower cooldown. Mecha Carrier could use a longer duration/lower cooldown. Hyper skills need a remake, support unit needs a remake, bots n tots + rock n shock need a remake as most classes have something similar as a passive that just attacks on hit. I generally liked the direction they went with mech 5th and 6th job. Ill need to take a look at it's 6th job skills later.

So I just saw that Nexon merged three worlds into Scania,
but left Bera out of it.

Honestly, I’m really surprised and disappointed by this decision.

Is there any way to submit feedback or join others who

yea never played deer on a teleport class so its def an interesting experience, none of the kms videos I watched used duck teleing in deer phase, they just seem to jump in the air 3 times to traverse across the map while procing the spirits and kiting seren around, would you mind telling me in what situation u use it, I just duck teleport the banana in p1 and thats about it

It has a shorter time to next attack and moves you to a better position once she dashes into the wall. It also lets you bait the deer's attacks before they rape you in the corner since dash's hitbox exists during the entire dash animation. So I would hit her while teleporting back and forth to bait deer attacks and proc the spirits while trying to keep her facing the wall. The only time I move to the other side is once the deer are both slightly out of push distance from the corner.

looking at the wiki the difference in erosion doesnt seem that crazy and in p2 it weirdly seems easier to cleanse the gauge? we'll see ig

Played a Thunder Breaker to level 220. Here's my thoughts. This is one of the classes I am more familiar with but absolutely despise what they did to it. Its an effort class like blaster or cadena but has 0 survival skills until m4 he gained a shield for comboing skills. They added a bunch of terrible low cooldown skills in 5th job like Serpent Gods Trident that you need to combo two skills 8, so 16 button presses total just to activate a shitty anchor summon for like 7 secs. I was hoping they would make Typhoon/Gale no cooldown in 6th job but now it's a random "on hit" reset so you would need to constantly be looking at it from m3. Another one of its V skills, Lightning God Multistrike, is awful, you are locked in place doing a huge octopunch basically, but instead of once they split it into like 5+ activations which leaves you vulnerable and not iframed/shielded. 6th job needed to boost their other skills to make the whole kit useful. The other V skill is basically an worse sea serpent buff that comes out on hit. So you're stuck with the same thunder/annihilate combo for bossing even with 6th job but now it summons a wave on hit. By about mid 210s I was bored of doing the same mobbing rotation of weak "combo link" skills and thunderbolt. Whereas Mech and Kaiser become Rockstars with their 5th/6th jobs, TB is the little irish leprechaun yodeling on a flute in a pub. It seems Nexon completely destroyed this class and have no idea what to do with it, possibly worse off than WH and resistance because it's identity has been buried, the whole class is reduced to feeling like a worse bucc, often needing to do lots of mashing or inputs to do basically a couple of octopunches of damage and without lord of the deep. Would make a terrible main or mule.

Seren is the real stop point anyway. And your BM run time should roughly match up with your Seren run time assuming you have enough sacred force and levels to hit full damage.

this night troupe is night troupeing so hard you can just have a constant base +100% exp for as many mobs as you want even after the procs are done and its not even hard to do
if they put this event before baldrix on purpose to help some gamers close the 290 gap without flattening the curve then thats really cool

Am wondering how much improvement will I get from replacing the challenger gear. Contemplating upgrading accessories vs 17* my arcane gear this upcoming SSF event. Will there be any significant improvement in my CP from 5* arcane + 3 set challenger vs current? (only arcane glove + weap). Expecting only around 10bil for SSF this Sunday

i actually did a practice run first and saw that i had the damage i just needed to focus up and not die so much so i went back in for a real one
all my gear is a mixed bag of 2l unique and 2l legendary stuff, it wouldn't be worth it to borrow lol

Since Sia still can't be transferred and I have some expiring items I wanted to use in Kronos I made a quick 130 character to transfer over with those items. Its currently Tera Burned though so I wasn't sure if the Tera Burn would transfer over once I world leaped . Does anyone know if this is the case or should I see if I can push it to 200 in the next 24 hours before the items start to expire before leaping.

Any one else experiencing a disconnect issue after logging on and griding from any where from 3- 20 min. The game will freeze and then close it self. Im using steam to launch the game. Its been happening to me for about 3 days now. But if im jist being a henny ho nothing will happen.

In my experience the 30-40% chance to tier up between SF 10 and 20 is actually way lower than that. I spent like 20b on gear in that range so a decent amount of attempts(=data) and I noticed multiple instances of a supposed 40% chance taking like 7 attempts, which has like a 5% chance of happening once. Multiple instances of that 5% in the few times I had to get past the 10-15* range is extremely unlikely if the odds are what they say they are.

How is classic going to balance the classes?

DKs are too good because of hyper body so either they need to be nerfed or the other two have to be buffed. With hero it could be as easy as adjusting rage to give more atk so that it would be a tempting offer for those not needing more hp. I guess by that logic paladins could get something that benefits mages? That would DKs would work well with squishy classes like NLs and bowmen, heros with tanky classes like warriors and shadowers, and pallys with mages who don't benefit from either hb or rage. Alternatively pallys could be oriented towards support with a new skill or two. Buffing rush so that it can be used for mobility would also be a good change for all warriors since I doubt everyone's going to get a flash jump. A slight boost to mobility would make them play better without ruining the core idea of a slow and tanky job.

MMs probably need a slight buff to put them on par with BMs. Both also need a little something to make them less like inferior NLs. Maybe you could allow them to use their skills while mounted, since horse archers and the like have been a thing for ages? The boar mounts in classic would be good for that, both in terms of the aesthetic as well as the gameplay. Just make it purely focused on mobility rather than all the nonsense that wild hunters do with their panthers.

The ultimates need to be adjusted to be less broken for mobbing. Bishops need a nerf. They've got healing, res, door, dispel and holy symbol, some of which could maybe be given to paladins since they're so underwhelming despite sharing the same holy theme.

Perhaps you could give them a holy symbol style buff for increased drop rate to make them desirable for parties? IIRC they already had something like that for mesos.

i enjoyed lynn's storyline for what it was, still felt sad. i chalk that one up to it being the chinese writing team though. the non KMS classes seem to always get raped in the story department since nexon only sends their B team to make that content. so len will PROBABLY have a good storyline. at worst, it'll just be generic. but typically the anima have had good stories since they get tied into grandis.

Hi /msg/, I’m Matt — though most people online know me as “dinofries.” I make Old School MapleStory Classic content on YouTube. I’ve been at it since November 2023, when I first made a video about Yeou. Things really kicked off in October 2024, when MapleStory Worlds launched in North America (and so did Artale), and I started streaming regularly on YouTube.

Artale fell off eventually — like it did for the dozens of other MapleStory content creators — but I didn’t stop. I shifted to covering other Old School MapleStory Classic experiences in MapleStory Worlds. And just to be clear: you can’t legally create content with private servers.

The Old School MapleStory Classic experiences I’ve covered in MapleStory Worlds include NexTale, KPQ Simulator, Old School Maple, ChronoStory, Southperry, and Big Bang Returns. Basically, if there’s something on MapleStory Worlds that nails that Old School MapleStory Classic feel, I’ve probably streamed or made a video about it. My finger is on the pulse.

Of course, we all know Nexon announced MapleStory Classic World earlier this year. I’m just as hyped as everyone else, and when it launches, I plan to throw myself fully into creating content for it. Until then, I’m filling the gap with the Old School MapleStory content that is available in the meanwhile.

I know this reads as self-promotion — and, yeah, it kind of is — but MapleStory is niche, and Old School MapleStory Classic is even niche-er. Aside from a random video here and there, there’s not a ton of content out there. Meanwhile, I’m streaming Old School MapleStory Classic every weekday (sometimes weekends too) and uploading videos about once a week.
