No it's not. There is no easy way to path to the opposite side of the tree if you want to do some clown Witch Archer slop. In PoE1, you wouldn't even get access to other classes abilities until endgame. In PoE1 you wouldn't even be able to use spells/abilities from other classes without extremely gimmicky stat investments into weird stats.
PoE has never been about clown builds. It's a niche option for endgame autists but not "core" like you make it out to be.

I keep hearing how Warrior has the smoothest leveling but I feel like I'm doing something wrong.
I use what everyone does Rolling Slam + Boneshatter and Perfect Strike on the bosses. I have to roll around to juke like >5 white mobs because if they surround me my health is gone before I get off one slam.
