I love wizard so much. Every time I play, I have to force myself to not just play wizard again. I love the huge spell list to choose from, I love the flavor that you work hard for you power instead of being a nepobaby sorc, I love scribing scrolls and collecting the complete spellbook, and I especially love that the unique scrolls that are one of a kind that you get to scribe. I love that you have damage, support, utility, and cc. I love getting like a 22 spell save dc and watching everyone even bosses slip and slide on dc22 ice surfaces. Plus wizard has an absolute ton of subclasses. Not all of them are good or worth playing, but it's just enough to add variety to different playthroughs even if you want to stick to that class. Everything about it just such a fun class, it's nice having a clear favorite.

That all said, cleric with a spellcasting statline is pretty much just a wizard with heavy armor, which is super cool too, so that's an easy second favorite. Less summons and less elemental and damage options but more support which is fun too.

Sometimes you just gotta hit 'em wit the Artistry of War, and then do it again once every short rest.

How do people manage to do multiple playthroughs of this game? The combat to me isn't very interesting, seems more like a "means to an end" and even though I haven't played since launch I basically remember the entire game so whenever I try to start a new run I get bored of dialogue by the time I reach the grove. Even having completely new party members and trying new classes/subclasses I just feel so bored. I keep find myself alt tabbing to find something to watch or getting distracted and walking away from my computer. There isn't much buildo autism in 5e and this isn't a "gameplay" game like an action rpg so I just find myself mind numbingly going through character dialogues to progress and quit after 20-30 minutes every time.

Seeing the unique stuff is fun, but the difference between Tav and Durge is like 1-2 hours of content, but the playthrough takes 50-100 to complete all with basically the same shit going on. There is even less new content playing as an origin, since you see 95% of it just having that person in your party in your Tav/Durge run, some of them don't even get a single unique scene when you play as them.

That's a lot of projection and assumptions to be making, retard-kun. I brought 3 people with me, didn't even get Halsin, Minthara, Jaheira, or Minsc on my first run. I just played the game and roleplayed my charismatic good guy character. I did manage to find all the explorable areas in the game as well. But roleplaying is what you yourself imagine and envision, it's heavily limited by virtue of being a video game and having a set path that you have to go down. No matter what options you choose in Act 1, you will go to the same Act 2, and you will go to the same Act 3 and the variations are not large enough to constitute an entire second playthrough for "roleplay" alone. The only "roleplay" you can do in BG3 is "good, bad, or gimped retard that makes a dumbass build using salami weapons" because it's a video game. The NPCs will have the same dialogues, there is only a handful of meaningful choices in the game that actually impact the story, the story beats will remain the same every time, the endings are mostly the same with slight alterations and only massively change between "good" and "bad"

So yes, roleplaying would be a great incentive, but it cannot be an incentive because it's a video game and not an imaginary scenario you can roleplay out with limitless possibilities and completely different stories and settings.

Planning to do a second playthrough, are those extra item mods for each class any good? Those look cool but don't know if they break the game difficultywise or something.

There's an achievement called Jack-of-all-Trades which is rewarded when you take 1 level of all 12 classes in the same playthrough without ever respeccing at Withers. So you pick a class at char creation then multi-class into something else at every level-up. Now I don't give a fuck about achievements but I found this concept refreshing and I think it aligns well with what you're aiming for. It's like self-contained dipping where you're not allowed to have the grand prize as multi-level investments are not allowed and you don't get to cherry-pick (sub-)classes but only their order. It keeps your might at bay while giving you a plethora of options to solve whatever the game throws at you! Like a Swiss Army knife!

She's always been a normal person who was brainwashed to be evil, so throughout the game she secretly approves of being normal and disapproves of being evil, even if she verbally says otherwise, and will say she's a hardcore Sharran. If you steer her away from Shar she stops pretending to be evil and embraces her normal person self. She's no longer pretends, and gets to be herself.

As for the difference between N and G, you have to actually do Good things to be Good. She retires to a farm and takes care of her own parents, which is a Neutral act and a Neutral lifestyle. If she were to, say, go on a crusade against Sharrans as revenge for how they treated her and she uses her unique knowledge of the inner workings of Sharran cloisters to make sure they don't do what they did to her, that would be a Good act and a Good lifestyle. Goodness is about doing things, it's action.

The game doesn't mention them and does not feature them, but the alignment system is a sacred cow of DnD so people still talk about them. And the bg3 characters do have character sheets published by larian/wotc that do have the alignment box filled in, so they gave their impression at one point too, even if the videogame itself doesn't mention it.

For some of them, it's really obvious. A loyal Sharran is obviously evil, a loyal jackboot of Vlaakith is evil, Karlach is obviously chaotic good, Minsc is obviously CG (and has been for a long time in canon, despite what his original AD&D character sheet said) and Asty is obviously NE.
Some characters change, such as Frog being N when she stops following Vlaakith, or Shart being N when she breaks out of the Sharran cult, or Asty being N in his freedom ending.

For some, they have traits of two alignments, which can make writing one on a sheet harder, for example Minth having traits of both NE and LE.

bg3 not mentioning alignments much is a part of a larger effort from wotc to downplay alignments. Paladins don't need to be LG/LE anymore, they can be anything according to their oath, and a lot of the races that had racial alignments just don't anymore. It's still part of the game and the spells that have historically cared about alignment still do, but they're just downplaying it a bit in lore and some class identities and race identities.

I'd go with Fighter/Berserker, and I'd skip dual class. Things can go wrong and it's too much for a first play imo.
You should not obsess over the starting score, just go with whatever you first roll or something maybe 85+ if you want. But it's fine. Most of the scores aren't actually relevant for anything outside your class stat.
For Fighter you'll want STR, DEX, and CON of course. You could tank everything else (CHA will get better prices but there's equipment that gets that to 18 or you just put someone with higher CHA in the top of the party.) But that's pretty soulless imo. You won't need to minmax like that, much better to RP a character and stick with that.

Early game is *rough* and you absolutely will be one-shotted by wolves and shit. Ranged is powerful, everyone should carry a ranged weapon. Casters with CC especially Sleep will overpower, and by the end of BG1 you'll be around level 8, then BG2 you can import that character to continue on into godhood.
