Be warned, the usage of Elysia and the flamechasers was excessive after their arc was over. Elysian realm was one of the longest story arcs of the game if not the longest and they should've wrapped it up with the Elysian everlasting. And the battlesuit designs really went downhill after Elysia. All of the battlesuits released after her have the same color palette and aesthetic and it just doesn't look good on everyone.

Elysia was wanked hard. Elysium Everlasting it feels so centered on Elysia that Mei, the POV character, gets sidelined. Elysia hogged the spotlight from Mei. This should've been Mei's story, but the only thing she "gained" from ER was an emotional fixation on Elysia. And it went on forever because oh Elysia is just so complex and you couldnt possibly describe her shortly– Her creator loved her so much and stuck her everywhere, showed how absolutely everyone loved her, etc. The only reason why she didn't solve all the problems of PE and didn't fly out of the realm of the dead and beat Kevin with one blow and didn't fuck after Mei is that her creator wouldn't have been allowed to. And there's no guarantee HSR Cyrene wouldn't be allowed to do what Elysia couldn't.

One of the worst retcons was the nature of the Honkai and Elysia's sacrifice being the sole reason why Herrschers can be good in the Current Era vs Previous Era. The Will of Honkai, a villain that was being set up for 30 chapters, and we never see it again. It retconned the way Herrschers work, turning the PE's merciless treatment of Herrschers into a necessity rather than a choice - it went from morally grey to morally black and white. Fu Hua's comparison of the PE being cold and logical and the CE being warm and emotional lost meaning. CE Herrschers fighting for Humanity is cheapened by the fact that this was actually impossible in the PE.

Cyrene will do this to HSR too. She will retcon the very nature of Aeons into something that cheapens everyone's struggles to wank her.
