Weapon Handling is really not the best stat for your troops to have heaps of points in. Mobility is far better, and Vitality. You only really "need" 14 points of weapon handling on most classes (for extra hipfire accuracy and 3-4 levels of vert reduction) besides Ass IV and Machine Gunners (for 24% reload speed on Ass IV and 30/10 on machine gunners).

Vitality is such an OP perk that having under 16 points of the stat is a huge tradeoff.

The weirdness isn't that he has lots of weapon handling, it's that he's about 5 points higher than should be physically possible at 4 stars.
For some reason everyone in that squad is also 1 vitality higher than they should be, then either equal or higher in varying amounts of mobility and handling.
I don't have a similar issue in the Japanese counterpart, so I suspect it has something to do with the merge.

its more fun than tarkov IMO, but like most extraction shooters it can be incredibly frustrating as a solo player, and the developers dont seem to really care and are more oriented around group players. the concept and environment is really solid but it has lots of little teething issues. not remotely a casual game in any sense, and despite lots of people asking for lower difficulty the devs arent doing it so far (good). its hard to say if it has legs or not at this point but the publisher is committed to it for the foreseeable future with the skeleton of stuff they will be adding that is already in game, just locked for now. the tank and gunship will be multiplayer only most likely, so they are definitely planning an enlisted scale scifi stalker PvP eventually

I really hope the shooter polish in AM makes its way to enlisted because the gunfighting and movement is so much better but it obviously doesnt scratch the WW2 itch

If the insurgency devs made another WWII title I would probably drop Enlisted honestly. More hardcore mechanics and less of the walking simulator HLL and Squad 44 have is an under served niche. I've heard people talk about Easy Red 2 but I've never tried it.

At least groups are capped to 3. Imagine groups of 5 like Tarkov. And that's why I've just been doing Isolated Raids. I've been progressing faster this way. Having PvE tokens regenerate over time, but capped, is a good implementation.

Increasing the Active Matter cap to 300, displaying how much extractable Active Matter there is, and making it faster to harvest were such good changes

Thoughts on the Hei versus the Otsu?
I like the Otsu's sights a bit more, but the recoil is slightly worse. The Hei has better recoil and I already have it unlocked from before the BR system, but the toggle-lock mechanism is distracting.

I'm leaning toward the Hei at the moment since I can immediately start equipping them (I have a bunch of holes in the tech tree, it's not just researching the Otsu, I'd have to research 3 more tier 2s, then 5 tier 3s) and I don't feel the benefits of the Otsu are too meaningful.
Am I right in thinking that a fully upgraded Hei/Otsu will be able to one-shot vitality-troops at short range, and reliably kill non-vitality troops up to 100m or so?

There used to be actual grit to their voices and they'd call their enemies "subhuman cunts" in the most incredibly angry tone. Really sucks since they had some of the best voice acting in the game, but maybe it was "too much" for the Chinese community. The player soldier sounds like a dork now. One of the worst nerfs in the game.

So, say you have the MG 34. Its ADS speed is 0.3. You improve that by 20%, it becomes 0.36, which is a .6 improvement. Compare that to the Scotti Naval, which has an ADS value of 1.3. Increase that by 20%, and it becomes 1.56, an increase of .26. You get like 4.333 times more value out of using it on the Scotti than the MG 34 because it's percentage based, not a flat value timed in milliseconds or whatever.

It's like reload speed. The "early" Thompsons get very little "value" out of reload speed because they reload in like 1.5 seconds. Shaving 24% off 1.5 gets you 1.14 seconds. A near instant reload, but "only" 360ms faster. Meanwhile, 24% reload on a PPD or PPSh drops it from 3.4 seconds to about 2.6 seconds, which shaves off 800 ms, more than 2x the "value" of the same perk on the Thompson.

I don't actually know what the calculations for ADS time are, all I know is that taking ADS speed on guns with low ADS speed barely does anything. Even if you go all-in on it with a Machine Gunner II and give him +27% aimspeed.

It's the opposite. Because it's % based, the higher the base value, the "more" you get out of the perk. Adding .06 (I made a mistake and wrote 0.6 instead of 0.06 here) to the ADS speed value of an MG 34 does basically nothing. Try it yourself, it's barely distinguishable. It's like how going 10% faster while you are driving 10 miles an hour is barely noticeable and is only an increase of 1mp/h, but going 10% faster while driving 100 miles per hour is an extremely noticeable increase of 10mp/h.

Longer reload time = more "value", shorter reload time = less "value".

Faster ADS time = more "value", slower ADS time = less "value".

Here's a handy webm to show you how little difference it makes on a Maxim-Tokarev, a gun with a REALLY low ADS time stat. Please note the second soldier has the maximum possible ADS bonus of 27%. The difference is more or less imperceptible.

TL;DR increasing a big number by a % is larger than increasing a small number by that same %.

Rocket artillery is functionally useless. It comes in from a different angle and can, in theory, kill tanks. Generally speaking, regular artillery is better. A tip for using arty is to use it on the enemy's primary approach to the point, not the point itself. Even placing it just behind the point (half on, half off) at the start of a match will catch rally builders and people falling back to safer positions.

Yeah I tried the airstrike at the practice range, I aimed it at the main firing range just to see what it did, and the bombs actually dropped so far North that I scored some hits on the tanks at the tank range, which I guess might have been helpful if I had selected the tank range to the north, but I didn't. The only use case I can think of for the bomber strike is on conquest mode to clear all exposed rallies the enemy has in their back lines. Maybe on certain maps where it can cover all capture points. The frontline doesn't move so there isn't that risk that the capture point has already changed by the time the bombers arrive on all the other modes. Rocket arty, bomber strikes, and smoke arty need to be tweaked because they just aren't used.

Even if you are firing from a sub-optimal angle, the 30mm can go through... well, basically everything the Americans and Russians field at BR I. Pretty much the only thing that could possibly withstand the 30mm would be the T-70 if you attack it from a VERY low angle, dead-on. If you attack it from any other angle you will go straight through. Some really sad examples don't even have 10mm of armour to protect themselves. This is also combined with the fact that, again, the 110 C-6 has extremely good flight characteristics. American BR I fighters can't really keep pace with it. Russian fighters would be okay.

It accelerates faster, which makes a difference. The ultimate issue is that gunCAS is almost entirely useless in Enlisted and War Thunder by design. The only exceptions are the Yak-9T and 9K, which is partially because ROSSIYAN BIAS)))) and also because Soviet bombers fucking suck.

It just means you can hit far away targets and do no damage to them, since the 1887 also has the same damage fall off as regular shotguns. Spread in Enlisted is kind of strange because shots are massively weighted towards landing in the middle of your crosshair regardless.
