I absolutely hate the shift to 25 man raids with SoD and basically all recent private servers. 40 man raids are one of the most fun parts of vanilla. I really hope they'll come back for Classic+ but I suspect they probably won't.

first time I'm leveling a warlock. I've heard all the things about how they are monster levelers, however I'm finding it very annoying. I'm currently level 23 and I can barely take on more than one mob at a time. my voidwalker can never hold aggro and its essentially useless. I heard the succubus is strong so I started using her but again I'm just tanking each mob which brings me down to 30-40% hp each time. I'm failing to see how warlock is one of the better levelers

use your fear bro. fear + dots, enemy is dead before it reaches you. life tap between kills, then drain life your feared + dotted mob, and you have zero downtime. if you get good at that you can juggle multiple enemies at once, can also have your voidwalker tank one, they shouldn't lose aggro if you just use dots. but even just fear+dots with life tap+life drain on single enemies is very efficient if you don't want to juggle.

doing some heckin tbc prepping on my soon to be arms warrior main, leveling this guy fresh from 1-60 on dreamscythe. so far it's been very comfy, lots of mining nodes just for me to level up mining/smithing, and light feathers seem to still sell for a mint so no shortage of gold. managed to get 2 different DM groups together, one during peak hours which formed almost instantly and the other during off peak which only took around 10 minutes to find a healer (i've heard finding a healer is a bitch)
looking forward to more levels!

TBQH, it's not that hard for Blizzard to absolutely make botting/thirdies quit out of frustration. As long as they implement anti-boost mechanics like they did in SoM and leave GDKPs banned, it more or less solves all of the issues people currently have with raiding Naxx (it's too fucking expensive).

How to make Classic Plus

Raidlogging addicts can never be sated.
They don't even appreciate what they're playing, they wanna raidlog for loot, get the loot, then get the next tier of loot.

New raids with new loot could be added, but they can't be added for the purpose of the zombies get their next upgrade after Naxx.

As in redraw it. The map looks the way that it is because of early 2000s game limitations and because they wanted it to be easy to traverse. Kul Tiras doesn't fit between Stormwind and Hillsbrad in WoW, so they just put it further out into the sea.
You can adjust the map to make things fit, maybe Elwynn Forest as we know it becomes 4x as big, and split into subzones, travel distance could be address by more flight paths, and other means of transportations, like more boats, and some fast travel caravans. Burning Steppes could be the same, but there could be more zones around it, more mountain paths to travel and quest in, while still being in the eastern kingdoms.
It'll never happen, but it should, and you'd probably have to do it in many steps.

Not quite transmog, but with professions let players change some gear. Like a Clothier could enhance a cloth robe drop. Would require a decent amount of artist work, to make the item still look recognizable as the original piece, but different.
This could be more than cosmetic, so ideally you want find a drop and then having it be tampered with by someone with the appropriate profession.
A Paladin in tier3 could with the help of professions make his gear look more like the tier2 set, you should still be able to look at him and see he's not wearing regular Tier2.

Sounds cool on paper, but this would be such a huge amount of work that they would basically be making an entirely new game at this point - one several orders of magnitude larger than vanilla itself. Not to mention that the new space has to have content developed for it too, unless you just want it to be empty. Just redoing the existing world in Cataclysm was so much work that it ate up all their resources for the expansion and they vowed never to do it again, and you're asking for something on 4x the scale. It's just not practical. And frankly, it probably wouldn't be nearly as good as you imagine it to be. The world in vanilla is already the perfect level of abstraction where it feels big enough to go on an adventure, but not too big that it feels tedious to get around. Yeah, it sucks that stuff like Kul Tiras doesn't fit perfectly in there, but that's a minor sacrifice. And it's kind of a silly example anyway, because in BFA they made Kul Tiras much bigger than it was previously depicted because it was half of the content for that expansion. A classic style Kul Tiras would probably be much smaller and could be fit in there easily, especially if it was instanced so it wouldn't necessarily have to reflect its full size on the overworld map.

Basically, what you're asking for isn't classic+, it's an entirely new game. It's also what they've talked about doing in retail starting with Quel'thalas (remaking the world in portions). And even doing it there is going to take them several years and expansions to accomplish.

a trve classic+ needs to lean more heavily into the rpg/journey aspect of the game. why do people keep wanting classic in the first place? obviously the world being the main character, the leveling experience, the questing, all that stuff. also to escape the bloat of retail with its million buttons per spec per class and systems bloat - something that aggrend decided classic needed. and to nobodies surprise it was a fucking failure

My entire guild and trade/general chat is nothing but people whining about how they can't remember their keybinds or what they had on them since the update. The worst I had to deal with was putting my demon's abilities back on their action-bar.

Maybe click your buttons every once in a while and you'll remember where things went, not every single ability you place on your action bar needs a keybind. It's okay to click abilities, that's why they're clickable in the first place. I can't think of any class that needs more than 10 keybinds for their entire kit to function, and those that do simply switch action bars when appropriate.

People don't play classic for fun. People play classic to get better gear than other people, to parse better than other players, to make up for not having any social status in real life. You're not going to convince me 0 mechanic vanilla raids are more "fun" or "challenging" than anything on retail. Ultimately, the concept of classic+ is a paradox.
