Generations were never official or even very clear. Technically, gen2 is supposed to start with timestops on ults. Gen3 started with tanks getting -3 sec swap cd passive and increased shred, plus shred field working in timestop. Amps getting 20% buff by default and getting QTE reset on SSS. Attackers, well, nobody really knows. I guess you can track generations by those +9999% off-field damage rank upgrades.
Now we suddenly have gen4 attacker Liv with timestop on core passive.

I just do the 18C difficulty because the rewards are the same as the top difficulty. I also spam energy supply stations as much as possible because the benefits stack up and use sentry towers to skip battles instead of using economy currency when possible, since sentries don’t use up a turn to deploy. When you have a matrix orb active after ulting/dodging, you first pick the one that has less orbs saved (like if you have 2 red and 7 blue), and then tap the other one to get a full gauge for only 4 orbs in total. Then you swap to axe, do your thing, ult, and repeat, repeat, repeat. It's really simple.
