I wonder if the “Springans Captian Sargas” Gung-Ho! mentions isn’t actually this card. But a (Always treated as) retrain.
Swordsoul and Springans happen to now be pushed for using only level 4 monsters, leaving Longyuan and OG Sargas in the dust. Especially the latter for how he has no effect and how his deck’s E-tele and Kitt is asking for the use of level 4 monsters only.

My favourite Ro_G illustrations is Aegerine being raped by tentacles. Honorable mention to all the Tear images and Fusion Parasite images.

Exosister is NOT a “fair” deck. If anyone believes that please read ALL of the archetypal cards. Also keep in mind this deck is completely positive feedback loop oriented, meaning if you don’t interact with it it will set up unbeatable boards barring ridiculous board breakers, or now that they have an Omni, two of them. And it also folds to interruptions easily (still, though a bit less now with the spell)
The deck has multiple non targeting banishes, a dweller, preventing the special summon of monsters from grave also as a floodgate.
Definitely not look forward to this archetype being better, not even considering shifter or other floodgate effects outside the archetype in that equation.

It has zero game going second unless it draws Shifter and pre-Xyz Martha is weak to every single breaker ever. They're also critically weak to a lot of handtraps because they end up telegraphing plays super hard including being buttfucked by droll if they ever dare touch Pax. Xyz Martha tries to solve some of these issues (still bad going second lel) to only a moderate amount of success that presumes you open well in all cases.
In reality Exo needs at least 2 more good maindecks before it starts actually being a properly threatening deck against meta/other rogue.

Would it be a fair analysis to say that the new Branded/Albaz support does more for the branded deck than the entirety of the 8 cards yusei got in Power of the fellows?
I love seeing decks get good support, but man seeing the new albaz stuff todays makes yusei's 8 new cards look like a joke.
I was never interested in playing branded, but with how cohesive and Intentional they are being with the support for this deck, I might have to consider. I just wish they were as intentional with Yusei' support. Now im even more mad that the last card was a trap was a weak trap, whose purpose was essentially to search effect veiler baka.
These 2 new cards take branded to a whole new level, and Honestly at 4 to 5 years into them getting support i can't believe im saying that. Konami keeps outdoing themselves. (And in honestly, props to them. You can see the effort with this archetype and is applaudable for sure).

Here's how this works:
>4 month long tournament, spanning from the 7th of September to the 18th of January (20 rounds), with the Top 4 Finals taking place on the 25th of January
>new participants can join the tournament at any point in time, just sign up on the tournament page
>a single round will be held each week
>BO3 matches and we're using a very basic leaderboard system, match wins and byes net you 2 points, match losses net you 1 point and no shows give you nothing
>2 no shows in a row will result in a disqualification
>matchups will be randomized each week, as allowing new players to join all the time messes with any automated round systems
>The randomized matchups will be announced in the thread each Monday and the matchups can agree on the time and date of the duel during that week
>you are allowed to change decks between rounds
>we will be using the most recent TCG banlist and the PRERELEASE card pool
>300 second turn timers, no reason for a time limit on rounds as it's only 1 round per week

I don’t think Springans actually want to end on XYZs besides Champion Sargas (whom can’t really do anything without the other Sargas, so even that might be a stretch).
They tend to depend on other XYZs to be more offensive, but normally those XYZs are much weaker than almost any of the cards Branded offers.

So they can be super shilled and have no weakness. It's a constant theme with Konami and the playerbase in general. If a deck has a weakness, its shit and needs "fixed" to remove it.
A good example of this sort of thinking is Sky Striker. The deck started with clearly set-up weaknesses but then slowly and surely Konami just kept patching up each weakness until they didn't exist anymore.
Sky Striker originally had the flaw of needing to open Engage or needing multiple turns to access it via Shizuku to get the ball rolling. Then Hayate was printed so going second you could immediately access it. Then Camellia was printed so you can also access it going first generically.
Sky Striker had the flaw of needing clear MMZs and struggled to handle cards like Kaijus because their Links were not generic and therefore cards you give your opponent made them struggle. Then Zeke was added so it no longer mattered if you give them something because they just Link it off and go into a Link-1, and arguably only got better with Camellia.
Sky Striker struggled to deal with Towers because their interaction took place with card effects. Then they got HAMP, their own in-archetype searchable Kaiju.
Sky Striker used to struggle with only having Hornet Drones and Raye to access the ED, then they got Roze and generic Links.
Sky Striker used to struggle with killing the opponent, then they got Linkage.
Sky Striker used to have difficulty with stuff that couldn't be targeted, then they got Lemnisgate.
Sky Striker had so many patches done to it they got a fucking Extra Link out at peak Firewall spam meta. They never used it but the fact that Konami felt the need to add it is very telling.
At this point Sky Striker has everything functionally that it needs, and only flops because of the inherent weakness of the cards just being old.

We’re gearing up for the next update to the Genesys points list which will occur next Monday, the 27th. After poring through all the results from Anaheim and São Paolo, here are the categories of cards we’re planning to adjust (we’re still reviewing and fine-tuning, for now).

This will be the first round of changes where we have actual data, so we’re excited! Everything up to now has been through play-testing and theory-crafting, but now that we’ve got actual Deck Lists, we can put the plan in motion. Remember the basic ideas: Cards that get played by lots of people will go up, cards that aren’t getting played as much will go down, but point decay is not automatic and we’ll always keep a hand on the wheel to make sure nothing un-fun creeps in.

>Severe Performance Outliers
Certain cards and strategies saw distinctly outsized play rates and success rates. We mentioned Pot of Extravagance being everywhere in an earlier article, but it’s not the only generic draw card that’s gone overboard. For Deck themes, there’s a nice cluster of reasonably popular and successful Deck types, another smaller cluster that are slightly more represented and successful than that, and then there’s Vanquish Soul. We’re glad that many players were able to quickly adapt their Advanced Format Vanquish Soul Decks and try out the format in the first few weekends of events but Vanquish Soul players should expect to make sacrifices in both engine and non-engine on Monday.

A few cards cause issues with the progression of the game or create conflict external to the game between the players that must then be resolved by the judges. An example of this kind of card is Question, which suspends a critical part of the Official Tournament Policy for the duration of its activation and resolution, making trouble for everyone involved. By making it more expensive than Monster Reborn, the use of Question will be… questionable.
