Overall it is okay. Don't use fakeframes, you can try if you want a smoother visual. I just hate input delay, and the game is way less stable with framegen on than off. Maybe because I also have a reshade over it.
Optiscaler works better than "native" FSR4 driver default by a tiny margin if you use DLSS input, but it needs reframework to bypass the file check so it is also prone to breaking whenever MH team pushes a crap update day 1.
With Reshade and medium-high setting 1080p I am hovering between 45~60 fps so it is not that great, but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. Forest (any weather) and Plains (Plenty) will always tank fps, no matter what.
If you have the cash, go for 9070XT. Double the shader units, double the power. 9060XT is good for the price, but this game is just shit at performance.

I don’t cheat. I also don’t have the patience for RNG farming. Hence I will make do with the sets I can readily craft. Kulve/Safi? No thanks, I’m fine with my craftable weapons and armour.

after another 2 days of futile attempts, it occured to me that I never tried looking for Japanese site wiki for a Japanese game and I think I found the answer
according to this site, Fatalis have the same amount of HP for both repel quest and HR3 quest (which I assumed is an Event quest) while both LBG and HBG can't possibly fit in that amount of ammo to match its HP pool. in other word, I've been chasing the impossible the entire time because I was following my strategy which can only capped at 15000 dmg and 10000 dmg in an average run
the only thing that can compensate for the loss of dps is cannon. they are infinite but I have to hit 50 of it in the span of 25-30 minutes (2 hits/min). unless I savescum on every hit, this seems like a herculean feat

Below is my evaluation of 200+ hunts with each of these:

GS: I can show off a little, but I feel like the skill ceiling isn't that high. I do around 50+ DPS on Planetes.

Breaking through the skill ceiling by hitting the A-rank timer, being the number 1 GLOBAL arena time champion, and beating your own personal bests.

I don't really pay attention to what folks here say when it comes to it desu.
It's like finally getting bronze but you're fighting others just to get stuck in silver when there's only room for one gold when it comes down to it. I place much more value on those trying to improve against their own personal bests, or finally get to a place where they can start that challenge properly.
