I think the issue is more that they paid $150 extra to be able to shop early, then everyone got put in the same line so they didn't get to shop early.

A not insignificant amount of the bullshit around the merch shop is because they fucking crashed and haven't told people whether they needed to reorder. I saw some people order at 10:00 on the dot (they had the QR code for the shop out front so literally anyone could put an order in, platinum got no benefit) and they haven't gotten their stuff, while people who ordered at like 11 got it 5 minutes later.
Pretty much everything is sold out as of now, though. People are pretty upset, there was some complaints at the merch stand lol

For me, maining a class comes down to its aesthetic and potentially small things that start to bother me in the long run, for example the awkward explorer warrior up jump that they finally fixed in kms recently that kept me from maining hero. Ren seems pretty good in both areas but we'll see how she plays in practice.

Literally though, I couldn't think of a single thing that could make it worse.
Arrived at 8:30am. A security guy insisted there was one line for platinum and general admission. After lining up, I reached the entrance only to be told they had just created a separate general admission line. I wasted my early arrival time lining up for nothing.

The new general admission line was unbelievably slow. It merged pre-badged attendees with those needing badges. The entire line slowdown was at the badge pickup booth, which was so slow, punishing those who got their badges early. What was the point of pre-badging?

They ran out of journals, the best freebie, in the swag bag. I heard they lost them. Incompetence.

After 3 hours, I finally got in and rushed to the merch area. Merch required a stupid, non-functional QR code system. Staff told me to line up at the "Help Desk" for manual ordering. I waited 2 hours in that line. The two staff took 15 minutes per person—unbelievably slow. After that 2-hour wait, I was told I couldn't order there, meaning multiple staff had lied. I got no merch.

Why not sell merch normally? The QR code system is stupid and unfair (people outside the convention were ordering). Order collection was laughable: people stood in lines while staff called names through an inaudible loudspeaker.

The main issue wasn't the length of lines, but the unbelievable slowness of the staff. Admissions lines, merch lines, etc. were SLOW SLOW SLOW. The staff took their time doing everything.

I'm requesting a refund from Tixr or will pursue a credit card charge-back. Nothing went right in this convention for $145 per ticket.

That's less time than liberating. Hell, that's the exact same time as getting an Eternal piece from Normal Kalos. I expect it to be way worse than that, personally, especially given how many shards you need to get a single one with the TMS version. Pretty sure the TMS version of the pitched frags need 100. So if you get 1 frag for every weekly boss that drops a pitched item (which I assume there will be at least that much because what the fuck is the point otherwise), it would take 12.5 weeks to get one pitched. Could be less if you do Black Mage, or if something like Extreme bosses drop more. That's about the length of time seasonal players play, so that's probably the intended game design.
