I think there's a nice balance now, slow decks are really favored in chaos so you grind up levels with a slow deck to build a faster one to do turn limit content over time. Honestly though, the turn limits are probably being removed or heavily loosened with how much casual players are bitching about it - I'm putting all my eggs in the Chaos basket its way more fun and technically a way to scale your power.

Having a restriction like turn limit is a good thing IMO, but they should probably have a big variety of restrictions and not all be turn limit. Like you could have a fight where the extra rewards require you to survive for 12/14 turns instead and the enemy just does a shitload of ramping damage.

Even with HSR it's still "Kill as fast as you can". MoC and AS uses turn and action points for scoring. PF is kill as many adds as you can but in the end it's still kill as fast as you can before the turn ends. And the newest endgame that forces you to use niche teams to get the buff the stage gives is also turn based kill as fast as you can to make the final boss easier so you can kill it as fast as you can.

Man normal combat routes sure feel bad compared to spamming encounter/event routes
Most of the time you're only getting creds, it's rare to get epiphanies and equipment, all while you accumulate more damage taken on your HP and stress (some events increase stress, but considering most of the time stresss accumulates on one bloke alone, it ends up being less than a normal combat node) simply because some normal enemies seem overtuned or are just way too strong for the rewards you get from defeating them (again, just creds)
Event/encounter nodes are most of the time safer and more rewarding, at least in my experience
Elite nodes are fine, event/encounter nodes are fine, but normal nodes need better rewards as incentive to take them because for now it seems they're mainly a source of creds to guarantee one extra card removal per run or something, but nothing else

Yeah, battle nodes are deadly, avoid them as much as possible, specially in the Interiors. Unfortunately you sometimes have to take shit routes for Chaos Orbs.

Èlites are not so bad because of the existence of Monster Cards, which are unbelievably op. If you reached the point where you can keep them you should try to get them.

Events obviously are the best. Some have target Divine Epiphanies and as the minus you get two shitty Curse cards you can remove the next battle easily.
