Are the Chaos Zero Nightmare team really, truly changing the core of the game to cater to a small minority of Korean players that are upset with the focus not being around the protagonist?

Maybe I'm in the minority and I just didn't realize - but I like stories not requiring I be the focus. I'm happy to have stories both centered around me AND centered around other characters as well. I'm happy to see characters developing relationships and friendships outside of my direct interaction with them.

People in Wuthering Waves have expressed how strongly they appreciated in 2.7 that so many characters got to interact with one another, forming and deepening relationships. It's one of the biggest points of contention in Gacha as a whole.

Trivializing relationships in favor of "There is only character progression when directly influenced by the MC" is not the correct route to take and I genuinely don't want to see CZN "overhaul" their story in favor of it. I'm sure many people don't.

Stories are more important than having a harem. I like having attractive men and women in my games, but I also enjoy having them actually be real, genuine characters that exist outside of me. Hopefully Smilegate reconsider, or at the very least, don't diminish the already existing bonds that have been created.

Relationships ENHANCE stories. It doesn't have to become a one-sided harem collector like Snowbreak or Girls' Frontline 2, it has the potential to be so much more.

I love Chaos Zero Nightmare. It's one of the best Gacha releases of 2025, easily. And I hope Smilegate take the time and listen to the Global community - who has spent millions of dollars so far, the content creators that have supported the game by directing their respective communities to the game, and don't destroy the game. We've had enough disappointments this year, CZN is a shining beacon in an ocean of failure and mediocrity.

On a positive note, we do get 50 free pulls. That's awesome.

But I’ll say it again that the main issue was the atrocious writing Chapter 4 onwards (and the mediocre writing preceding it aside the Prologue).
Owen is just a symptom of a retarded plot that had to break everyone’s legs to work to force him to develop.
It wouldn’t be nearly as bad if the Chapter actually had a problem so big it’d need him act to pull his own weight.
And it isn’t even hard to do that since the Prologue was that exact scenario: the moment the incursion became too big for us, only Renoa could do anything while the rest were being incapacitated or mentally breaking down. You could have just repeated that so everyone involved Captain included would get their shit straightened out on the spot to never let thag happen again.
