Rose Forest is underrated. I've played it on and off since set 1 and it's never been good enough that I'd call it a sleeper deck in any meta but it's also never been nearly as bad at any point as people act like it is.

Your deck runs on a hard clock that's faster than any other hard clock in the game and every set there's some real meta strategy that just can't deal with you. The bad match ups are always bad enough to gate keep the deck to like, tier 3, but there are so many worse decks that people take seriously anyways.

You're right that missing your Rose Queen sucks but statistically you're more likely than not to get her by turn 9 even assuming you always return her to deck on mulligan and draw zero additional cards to hand. By comparison, there were half a dozen decks in the previous meta game that were less likely on average to hit their mandatory wincons on curve that were considered tier including roach.

I don't think it's a GOOD deck to be clear, tier 3 is the highest I'd place it at its peak. I just don't understand why people treat it as a meme deck when people are rating eggs as a tier 2.

The puppet vs dirt match up for dirt is even more impossible than forest vs ward was for forest. At least with haven, they sometime brick and never draw Aether. Puppet can fuck you in some many different ways as dirt. Straight up killing you with Zwei highroll, and early aggro. Orchis into Orchis lethal. lol 17 damage with Orchis + Bub + cat. Control by removing all your dirt stacks and Lila. The match up is completely hopeless for dirt.

The drawback being you need to play 5 fucking other cards before it, with half of them being 4pp or more, retard. Sagelight is a super versatile card good for everything. Most of the time I'm using it to generate dirt, or for the board clear. Bension literally doesn't fucking do anything if you don't have full crests, which is 90% of the game.
