Here's a quick summary of the "Legend Leak" so we don't have to discuss it anymore:

1 - Legend was told about some unused assets one year ago, and built up a story around them.

2 - he added imaginative details to make CA's upcoming releases look bad: he invented a story where Ogres and Tigermen would be Cathay subfactions, and within twelve months an additional DLC with Monkey King + Li Dao would be released. He provided no proof for this fact.

3 - He pushed the narrative that the three factions (rebranded "Cathay" by him) and the two extra Lords (added by his imagination) would bring an "overabundance of Cathay" with 5 Legendary Lords. Only one Cathayan Lord was visible in the files Legend shared.

4 - This brought a wave of backlash against CA

5 - Legend's video was released one year ago, and it only mentions one Ogre Lord + Dechala, these two things are now confirmed.
It doesn't mention Skulltaker, Arbaal, Gorbad, Sayl, Masque or Aislinn, all of which were, according to Legend, all made from scratch in 12 months. This should sound ridiculous to all people with a brain

6 - the Chinese leak has been proven 100% correct at this point, and it goes against what Legend says, meaning that Legend got jealous of a Reddit post that had actual leaks in it.

The game was patched one million times and has one million iterations, but if I remember correctly, a faction's power includes their allies.

Confederating a very weak enemy is WAY, WAY easier than confederating a strong ally.
You should declare war, and then offer confederation, and if you're strong enough they may accept on the same turn - this worked with me, I have done it, but I don't remember when, what patch, what game.

Then let's look at the recent DLC, after Legend's video:
8 months for Omens of Destruction
...and Tides of Torment was scheduled for 8 months but it took 12.

Now this seems like normal CA fuckup development time to me, nothing weird. This company, with reduced budget and personnel, after Hyenas, would have SCRAPPED SEVEN LEGENDARY LORDS and MADE SIX MORE and all of this set them back by only 4 months??? Keep in mind that the pivot would happen 2 months into the development of Omens, which means that may and june 2024 all of CA's work would go in the trash and restart. So in the end re-organising everything would be only a slow-down of TWO MONTHS instead of four.
These fuckups at CA according to Legend were able to throw away two months of work and release Omens on time, and Tides 4 months late, with this gigantic pivot.
And again, all of this contradicting the Chinese leak that is older and more accurate???

I don't know if he wants to leave in the worst standing possible with the community to never come back or he's genuinely this retarded and just made something that will harm his standing inside the community, and would probably follow him when he becomes a paracuck.

The only thing that set CA back is demand for SoC to be better. In the beginning CA planned to shit out SoC tier garbage every 4 months or so, with the infamous roadmap, but community riled up against such overpriced poor quality dlc which made CA change development cycle, they essentially had to go back to adding content into SoC, then they had to put even more content into all future dlcs and that puts as here - where we are today with ToT.

I think the presence future/current mental disorders in men could be predicted with 99% certainty by exposing boys aged 8-12 to Total War titles of their choosing and observing playtime with other games provided so that they aren't playing it solely out of boredom. If they spend more than 100 hours in any single TW game I think that is the strongest criteria for a mental disorder. This franchise is like Sonic for history nerds.

I prefer the changes it makes to the battles and the pacing of them yes, although I would imagine its not for everyone. Campaign map is only a little more difficult with control issues, but hardly worth mentioning really, its still a Total War game and laughably easy to manage.
Give it a go would be my suggestion, you might love it or hate it but you've nothing to lose aside from a little bit of your time. Theres a lot of toggles to turn things on and off with MCT these days so definitely get that as well. Leave faction caps on I would suggest unless you like seeing AI armies late game all being one or two units.
I'd say it makes the game better, others would utterly disagree, it just depends on how you like to play I guess?

I think Attila offered the best compromise. Units will shoot through your own guys if they can still see the enemy past them, but they'll fire piecemeal instead of in volleys because they don't have a clear shot. If you're a little elevated you can just lay into the enemy over the heads of your guys, but if you're lower down they won't be able to fire because they can't see the enemy at all.

I'd say the mod increases chances of failure, but since it doesnt (read: cant) fix the abysmal AI, thats not saying much. There's more things that increase your chance of failure (PO can actually lead to rebellions in full provinces, snowballed AI can field more dangerous doomstacks, building walls is a strategic choice instead of no-brainer), but if you minmax it it'll be pretty much just as unloseable as vanilla: 0,0001% chance of loss times hundred is still 0,01%. I'd combine it with The Old World mod to give AI more chances to regroup and fight back + to make snowballing more dangerous + to slow the rate at which you snowball to become unstoppable to give AI more chances to cause compounding problems.
Or go with CA-approved way and just bump up the enemy stats. +100% all stats and income should present a challenge similar to what devs intended
