Dam, bring a hatch key and go to one of the hatch extracts, preferably the one by power gen. Bring a suppressor and a ferro/renegade/anvil with 2-3 stacks of ammo and just plink at the snitches that spawn in the red water and control tower area until they aggro and come to you. You can also double up and let them activate and then quickly kill them to get more loot from the patrol it spawns

I think part of the issue with this game, is that semi randomized loot. Loot being random is good. Loot having specific areas for specific types is also good. Means you can reasonably target farm.
But what kinda sucks, is that you quite often know what you can expect in which containers and rooms, meaning that quickly players who know what they're doing start ignoring certain loot containers, and rush towards the ones that have a chance of spawning the purple loot. On one side, that feels rewarding, finding a good chest, or knowing where you can use a key. But on the other hand, you're less of a raider and more "dude who already knows where the specific thing he needs is"-er.

Guns like the tempest, bobcat, and venator fuck hard. A stack of explosive mines is the difference between getting shot in the back and passively generating corpses on some farmville shit. Good meds let you turn a fight even if they get the drop, and mobility items make you impossible to catch anyway

My own anecdotal evidence is that last night I went unto bluegate nigh raid with a poorfag stitcher kit after I lost two blue kits. There was basically an endless wave of PvP that erupted in the tunnels for 5 minutes, I got in near the end of it and downed two people with my stitchers, they both had poorfag sticher kits. I started checking the bodies, all poorfag sticher kits. Some dude catches me as im looting and downs me...with his poorfag stitcher kit.

I load into another round with a free loadout. End up rolling a rattler. Run into another guy who had a rattler free kit. We ran into two other guys who had rattler free kits. Downed a kosfag who was rattler free kit. Ran into two more dudes who were rattler freekits. We were all just goofing around until I found an anvil blueprint and offered it to whoever wanted it. I was immediately murdered and im sure they all fought over it. Its a shame I went down first because im sure 5 dudes trying to kill eachother with rattler 1s would have been funny.

But yeah, it seemed like some gear-score based matchmaking to me.

I think the game would benefit, both for a bit more optional co-op and more reasons to fight Arc, if they added something like the "mini-games" you can find in Deep Rock Galactic. Basically timed events that require people to do things for a nice reward.
It even has some mechanics they could retool for this function. Stuff like "fill a fuel depot with x crates in x time while arc raids the vicinity".

Of course this is just going to be an excuse for people to raid and kill other players once the timer ticks close to finished.
