Are Pyro and Arsonist worth keeping in the same mod loadout? I know there's no reason not to run both, but I try not to have same-y survivors. I'm curious if people prefer one over the other more.

I think something lost from Risky hostings from six or seven years ago is that losing was something accepted. The tide shifted when Risky 2 got late into early access, but I don't think it's for no reason. A sizeable portion of players don't like being taken out from an enemy hitting them from out of sight/off screen, like a Greater Wisp. With Risky 1 + Glass, you knew exactly how you died, and if the game is over, well it won't be so long to get back in. With Risky 2, Glass isn't much used because of the aforementioned getting hit by shit off screen. So you end up investing 25-30 minutes to get to Sky Meadows, then you wipe? Breaks people's balls. Or in some wilder setups where mother fucking Twiptwip gets a gorillion gestures and he crashes the game. Personally I find either scenario hilarious, crash or wipe even after 30 minutes or an hour. I thoroughly enjoy the funny ass ways runs end. But I understand some people really don't like that. It is what it is. Thanks for reading my blog.

Why can't I add this with r2modman?
Experimenting with some settings. Configured EWI to only have it so 1% of enemies generate random items (still nothing blacklisted). The idea being 1% of enemies are like minibosses as opposed to everything being able to oneshot the players.

No it is, but Prestige is like Arrogance in that it will remember mountains from previous stages. Both of these artifacts have their place, it's just that way back, mountains had a chance to spawn on, say, Rallypoint and Scorched Acres. But it wouldn't be six mountains by stage 3, it would be maybe 1 or 2 or 3 because they spawned there like any other stage.
Ah, i see. I think Prestige is the only mod that does that via its artifact effect now.

Currently testing a budget clamp on the director's tokens and its ramifications towards preventing an instant wipe without invalidating preloop difficulty, currently set to 90% (tried 80% but didnt get things such as brass contraptions or elder lemurians until an hour in at HAHAHAHA on stage 4, despite normally getting there in a quarter or less of that time).

Turns out having an item that spawns objects 100% of the time on hit, while damaging enemies 50 individual times in one click while applying DoTs while having items that trigger on-hit effects on DoTs while having an item that applies each DoT 10x causes a stack overflow that WILL crash your game.

But I have made a fair amount of config changes since then, and I'm sure theres a couple other hosts who have things either default or set a way for themselves. Possibly an issue borne of updating different r2modman profiles ontop of each other? I'm unsure, but I could imagine some quirk popping up like that especially given how screwed up the latest update was with how it authors had to play catch up, pushing updates several times a day. Since I can't say for sure if making a new instance for each unannounced host who posts here is the norm, given how time consuming that may be. But I've never had either Jacket or Driver in the list, and I'm pretty sure I haven't really been able to get Jacket in particular working since the MemOp update.

oh, right, Rob, if you're reading the thread the devil arms swap is super scuffed. Autosprint makes it worse (rapid swapping so fast that you have to force a walk to make it stop and start moving again) but the baseline will just swap at random for no reason or do so when going into melee mode.
If it's a gordian knot just give the option to pick one Devil Arm from a list as an altpassive instead of drops inside the game (IE clone Driver's Arsenal passive basically) until you can fix it.
A way to toggle which mode is alternative would also be nice, even if i lose the reflect i think i'd be fine with that.
backup mags have no effect for Blue Rose and BR also no longer has a rapid fire attack which i presume was just cloned from Ebony and Ivory moveset but filled a niche that is gaping in the kit when running it. Maybe a hammer fanning? god its been too long since i played a DMC game
