Controls are mostly straightforward and intuitive, but there's always little tips and tricks to learn, more info can be found at https://kb.tabletopsimulator.com/
>How do I join?
That's easy, you click on "Join" in the main menu, search for the lobby name and password that's been posted, and done!
>How do I host?
Click on "Create", and that's basically it. You can find free games in the workshop here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/286160/workshop/

So why do (You) enjoy board games? If it's because they're a fun pastime, then what makes them fun. If it's to play against others, what facet of competition do you think is being tested, and how do you view your opponents. Do you just find them neat, and if so, is it visuals, rules design, evocativeness, or some other bullshit? What actually makes (You) like board games.

Couple QoL settings for you anons
>Misc. Settings > Scroll almost to the bottom
>Mouse Shake Threshold > Turn to around 10-13 (avoids unintentional grouping and most importantly, unintentional dice rolling)
>Double-Click Container Pickup: ON (lets you grab containers like decks and stuff right away, without needed to hold for X amount of seconds, still letting you grab by holding (you can also change the amount of time it takes to trigger the hold)
>Card is a Key for Hotkeys: ON (Makes drawing cards and components by pressing a button instant, instead of waiting X seconds to draw for you (you can also change that delay but i mean the only plus from wait is to draw 10+ cards at the same time, and pressing 5 twice is still faster))
>Near the top: Camera Load Spin Rate: 1000 (it'll make saved camera settings move instantly)
In Controls, delete the Blindfold hotkey, it's really not necessary to have, if you ever do need to get blindfolded, you can just right click
In Game >Look Speed and movement speed: MAX (makes wasd movement faster)

>>1757748If you have a dice chucker game, I also recommend setting the dice bounciness to 0.75. It makes it so they actually bounce and roll rather than just stiffly falling onto one face. Add a dice tower on top of it and you'll have proper rolling dice. Or just use a soulless dice roller script.
>>1758160Oh and here are my autoexec.cfg settings. This adds UI buttons for the camera angles to the left side, tucked under the other buttons, and assigns a better hotkey to cycle through them. It also makes the tooltip solid white rather than transparent.
https://ghostbin.cloud/8c6g1
>>1758160No real need, whenever you press R the game sets the dice in a random position before actually giving it some momentum, making it fair even if you see the roll as unfair like when it rolls on a single axis and you just know it'll end up on the top face even if it hasn't landed yet.

Mega Salamence and the use of stereoids on the local fauna created an unstoppable beast that decimated the end game gym leaders and elite 4! Only being stopped by the Legendary Red himself, but briefly before his second best, Hariyama finished the job.
Pretty good teams overall, too bad that because of shitty rolls some people got left eating dust and even lost the chance to challenge the champion lol
GGs thanks for coming and playing, good sesh today.
>>1758409I'm just glad to have defended my title as champion of the worst rolls of all time (although a genuine loss to the Champ regardless as he was just way better on his grind and routing)

>Every Four Souls lobby ever on TTS is a modded game with imbalanced leftymeme custom card texts
>Even worse, they're NEVER using deck ratios so the entire game is just unending bosses drawn from the deck chain-killing people who don't spend their first 2-3 turns rolling 5s and 6s
>First person to successfully spam 5 and 6 rolls runs away with the game just like pre-requiem Four Souls
>>1759103Heroic Kasen won in biased 4 player game! More danmaku tomorrow around same time.
>>1759354>four souls imbalancedit's not the kind of game that's meant to be balanced, it's a meme game, you shouldn't think about the mechanics or the balance too much
but you should also just play good games instead
>>1758830>they were basically next to the Elite 4 before the other player wonHonestly, the whole League Champion thing feels kinda flawed. The minute someone starts pulling ahead and getting close to the Elite 4, it's no longer worth trying to catch up. If you're playing with the Title Defense rules, then you're better off just trying to grind up some extra levels beforehand, and the advantage that the Elite 4 + Champ are supposed to provide (having high level mons to beat up) is mostly negated by the Black Flutes (there's still the benefit of two fights per turn, however). If you're playing without Title Defense, then most of the time, the Elite 4 aren't able to provide enough of a challenge, and the game just becomes a dice chucking race to the finish.
>>1760097The League is mostly an excuse to get people to fight each other one last time, it's already rare enough during the actual game because it's really punishing to lose; and the map is so large that you sometimes can't even fight somebody unless you farm that particular event card, and most people would rather fighting a mon rather than getting events.
>>1760116I'd just add a Match Call item card to the shop that goes like
>Challenge any Trainer on the map to a 2 stock battle>If they refuse, initiate an NPC/Rival trainer battle>Normal loss conditions don't apply, use this card in place of moving this turnFeels like that'd be a okay risk/reward. It's a decent chance for getting a couple of levels, so the one getting challenged might take the opportunity to prevent them from fighting the NPC instead. Then it becomes like, do you want to try to nab levels yourself, or do you want to sandbag and send out weakmons but end up needing to visit a Pokecenter/buy revives, but it's only 2 so while still a genuine setback, it's not too much of one like the mugging is. The challenger feeling out what their opponent's choice would be as well would also be part of the fun/strategy.
It's about time to test this bad boy out.

At the same time you can kinda control it, but can never entirely predict its behaviour, making it feel alive. Very cool.
On the flip side, the first hunt is bloody boring. You got like 2 possible actions, and you'll spend a lot of your turns just keeping distance. I assume this will change as you progress.

The chess pieces and the card flavor are shoehorned in, to be honest. Idea being, is that you're some sort of a medieval Illuminati, controlling key figures and causing all manner of world events to unfold in order to rule Europe in one of 4 different ways.
You need A LOT of imagination to really make it make sense, as the game is not interested at all in removing any layer of abstraction.
>>1771944Pax Renaissance, or Bankers Ruining Eurasia Simulator. Victory objectives being "have monopoly on kingdoms", "have monopoly on trade and sailing", "have monopoly on the strongest religion" or "crowdfund democracy with well-timed king-removal operations". Cards are contacts, connections, influenced populations, and other assets under your control, pieces are kingdom military (rooks defend, knights defend and attack) and self-serving special ops forces(pirates steal cash and bishops say "you're not allowed to do this"), the colors are religions (gold christians, crimson protestants, and jade muslims) or player colors (pawns of the bankers don't believe in god, only in money).
It's really not as hard as it looks or as I make it out to be, but it can reek of historically flavored calvinball (which it kinda is). Fun game, i wish i had time to play it more.

>>1772661The links arent dead, i can open them in my browser (http://pastebin.com/raw/00YWZ28Y)
But tts refuses to load them for some reason....
>>1772652https://pastebin.com/raw/RxVSs7Ds
Could've just not loaded for whatever reason, the link still works. You should use TTS Mod Backup and download them to precache them.
>>1772693Ok, we'll try this mod, thanks.
>>1772686Why is a Blender .obj file stored as text data on pastebin in the first place??? Makes absolutely no sense.
>>1772767Because a .obj IS a type of text file. It's a file format specifically designed to save the coordinates of vertexes and faces in a simple, human readable text format, for the purposes of not just being easily loaded by all kinds of 3D model software, but being able to be transmitted and loaded in situations where the only thing you can transfer IS text (or when it's more efficient to do so).
It's like how base64 encoding is able to translate binary data into normal text, which means you can store things like images as base64 formatted text. An example of using this is when you have a webpage with an image embedded on it; normally, you have the HTML text file that is the page and then the image in .png/.jpg/whatever format that has to be stored separately on the side, but if you just convert that image to base64 first, you can just put that text IN the HTML file and nowhere else.
And for TTS, this means that you can conveniently save 3D Models wherever you can save text (and even edit the text directly to update the model if you so wished without changing the URL), and given that mod authors are already concerned about having easy and resilient hosting, it would seem like quite the good option to go with.
>>1772791Oh, that makes sense. I just assumed since it's a 3d model it's got to have a cooler file format but no, why bother with that when you can have a long list of all the points and their connections. Never bothered to look any deeper into it. Thanks for the rundown anon, you're a cool guy.
>>1772686Download the assets, upload to your cloud, replace the links, and upload the new mod as a private/public/whatever you prefer mod to keep it alive.
What game is it anyways?
>>1772867If you've ever had to deal with geographic information systems they do everything with lists of points and connections too. That's what geometry is about. The only "fancy" addition you can make to that is compression.
>>1773099Im lost at the "upload to your cloud" step. What host should i use that would allow tts to see the uploaded text?
Its Starcraft: board game and Forbidden stars. Me and my friends got into them recently.
Both games got borken pastebin links.

the part that doesn't work with pirated TTS is the multiplayer and that's really the only reason you'd play TTS in the first place, so your verdict will have to wait for the 1 hour 59 minute mark after you buy the game when its next on sale.
>>1777583You can get practically any and all mods from here:

>>1820230nvm I can just ctrl-f the json
>>1820395There's a malware script floating around that was active a few years ago, it would copy itself to every object on the table silently. So if you grabbed something from the workshop that was infected and added it to your game, it'd reproduce itself. The server it contacted is offline but I think it still executes and causes a lot of lag, so you have to check the json file of all your saves/games/objects and see if it's there. Search for "glitch" and if you see a giant block of code then you have an infected object.

>>1823917Playing some Decrypto with 4
>>1823936We played like 10 rounds lol most finished in round 3, don't ask.
>>1823936If the words were 'CAR' 'PLANE' and 'ROCKET', would it be legal to use the clues 'small' 'medium' 'large'? What about 'fast' 'faster' and 'fastest'?
>>1824722>>The Clues must refer to the meaning of the Keywords.>The Clues must never refer to the spelling (โCโ to hint at โCursedโ), the number of letters
(โ8โ or โ8 lettersโ to hint at โScorpionโ), the
position on the Screen (โmusketeersโ to hint at
the word in the third position), or pronunciation
(โfaceโ to make your team guess โPlaceโ).
i think it's allowed, but the luck needed to get three keywords this close in similarity to one another is kinda impossible. Though what do I know, i haven't played like 10 rounds of Decrypto for an entire monday, i had work to do.
>>1824891also god damn, copypasting from .pdf always fucks with the formatting, i hate it
There doesn't seem to be a tool for copying names/descriptions from one object to another, but at least I found this snippet to enter into the system window. Select the object to be copied to, and then hover over the object whose description you want to copy over. Change white to whichever color you want.
/execute for _,o in ipairs(Player.White.getSelectedObjects()) do o.setDescription(Player.White.getHoverObject().getDescription()) o.setName(Player.White.getHoverObject().getName()) end

GGs and see you next time!
Someone's been lying this entire time, you can't make arrow pipelines. Yea it's a practice game, just killing time while at work, still not playing this meme
>>1828361>you can't make arrow pipelinesWell yeah, where did you hear you could? If you check the archive for the end of game screenshots you won't see factories with arrows not being directly connected (and most of the time pointing at) to the actual part.
>>1828479Seen the one that's obsessed with it doing that a couple times, literally a line of arrows [>][>][>] to reach a vehicle part
>>1828361Splotters have this sometimes, simple rules yet someone gets them wrong every time. I know I did, first time I played HC. Same in TGZ with the range rules and how temples can only help deliver processed goods and not raw material. Best to just learn and remember and tell whoever you heard it from they're wrong but it's not a big deal.
>>1828523Yeah, best you can do is [part] [<] [>] [part] for a 2-long 1-wide connection, anything longer than that that's still 1-wide is only available on the A line with the Bumper part.
>>1828523You probably misidentified it with a different part (that might have been oriented wrongly pointing at another by mistake but not really breaking any rules) or you just misunderstood a rule and are conflating 2 different cases like arrows also having the chevron needed to connect back to the mainline, for example [M][>][B][<][>][B] being perfectly fine.
You can take a look in past threads for posted factories and you won't see such an arrangement like you describe in any sans some probable mistakes.
>>1828361>Yea it's a practice game, just killing time while at work, still not playing this memeI've never seen an anon so conflicted about their feelings before.
>>1828361Anon if that's how you were going to run your B line you should have laid that clipboard sideways to utilize the dead space.
