>You would understand this if you had the basic ability to reason needed to at least be able to disagree, rather than simply not understand, gender theory.
The idea that someone can be born as the wrong gender or feel like the wrong gender implies that genders are meant to feel and act specific ways, and deviating outside of this norm is an indication that you have a girl brain in a man body or something to that effect. The idea that gender is both a social construct and this immutable thing where you can be born as the wrong one is blatantly at odds with itself.
Are we being progressive by regressive to outdated gender stereotypes and roles in society?
Why does it make more sense to say "well, this woman likes videogames and sports, so she's clearly a man in a woman's body! So that means this is a pregnant man!" instead of "yeah she likes videogames and sports and she's also having a baby"
If anything, this idea that you can be the "wrong" gender and need to get a prescription or expensive surgeries to fix it feels like a scam by big pharma. The idea used to be that traditional gender roles have no impact on who you are or what you're allowed to enjoy, and somehow we went from that to "what you enjoy determines your gender"
We've just flipped all the way back around to liberal progressives pushing for the same shit that christian fundamentalists used to push for, while somehow thinking they're sticking it to those people.
Two groups of people that just want everyone to adhere to traditional gender roles and for whatever reason they think they're fighting against each other.
Either way, the idea that a man can be pregnant is awful simply because it introduces way too much needless confusion for developing children/teens, who will by default feel weird in their body at that age. There's no actual benefit to pushing this gender identity shit over just telling people not to let their gender define them.
