Welcome to /vm/abinogi.

Mabinogi is a fun, once popular little old school Korean MMO from 2004 based around Celtic mythology with many different features. Your character can age, rebirth, eat food and gain weight, play and custom make music, and so much more. You can be anything and do anything all at once with no downsides. From non-combat related skills like cooking, tailoring, blacksmithing, trading goods in a commerce, carpentry, etc. to different styles of combat like melee, magic, ninja, archery, puppetry, etc. all on 1 character.

Although graphics and gameplay is still a bit dated, even after 28 years the game is still rich in content such as fashion contests, cooking contest, jousting, playing in or viewing large concerts, training pets, and so on and continues to be Nexon's most generous game.

You'll have to level them all eventually so just do whatever you want and have fun with it.
If you want, you can test all them out at the beginner quest board behind Duncan at Tir selecting the "Talent Trial" option and it'll take you into a roleplay dungeon that lets you talk to Tin and select any talent to try its max level skills on dummies in there so you can get a feel for how it works and what you might want to use.

A very boring but reliable method is picking your favorite shadow mission, setting it to advnaced difficulty, and running it over and over again.
Fine leathers during master plan can sell for 70k+ and you can get 2-3 per 5 minutes easily.

I don't know if maybe it's just because Hamlet was the last gen I did on release, but playing through it right now just feels like it's designed to waste as much time as possible as nonsensically as possible. Duncan tells you about Sidhe Sneachta like you've never been there before and then your next objective is to ask Trefor for directions, for one example. For what it's worth, I do remember liking Hamlet the first time I did it.

And I can't even enjoy it for the part where it's just Hamlet because the text advances too fast to read.

SG is tank skill set but even then it get 24%extra crit damage and built in debuff with damage reduction for using your rotation properly that ignores 90% incoming damage. Along with that you skills heal for 5% on each target hit and you have a free cleanse for status effects and dot damage from party taking damage. Unironically its most stable dps with most skills getting cd lowered 1-2 secs for each hit you take. Did I mention you basically get free x4 max damage on axe erg ontop of skill damage % that adds to you SG skills. If you build SG properly your gonna be fine!

All the 4chan related guilds were in shit like raidcall or teamspeak, and later in a steam group where we'd do shit like play Left4Dead and whatever other flavor of the month games were out at the time. tl;dr: It was an actual community, but times of changed, or people have changed, but it's a dead community and no one hangs out anymore. Soluna is obtainable but it's unrealistic to push for unless you have years.
The content is time restricted and the rate is very low. I think mathematically you are statistically not likely to get it in your lifetime even if you ran the max amounts for the rest of your life.

Nah, crit damage is great, extra damage plus bonus damage is great(whatever 2h weapon can be special upped can have +155max and an extra 9% bonus damage), more piercing is great, set effects are great. The BDK can't even be enchanted, can it? So it's missing out on stuff like Meteoroid or Downburst.

For me early on I made a lot of gold doing some simple stuff.
On Ceo Island there are golems, they drop building stones that sell for 20-30k each.

Dugald Aisle has rocks on the southern end that you can mine, they sell for like 20k each as well.

Shearing sheep, making an upgraded sturdy sickle, and using wool to craft fine/est fabric is free money

Fine Leather Adv shadow mission farming is great money but mind numbing. Do All-out war for slow but almost afk farming. Fomor attack for active but fast.

Check your dungeon guide, there's some good stuff for free money in there. Do X amount of clears. Same with the Growth Guide

There are pets with certain buffs, some move faster, some allow archery while mounted, some can hit orbs.
Pick one that suits your needs and go ham. Any content that requires pets isn't super intensive in how strong they are.

Foxyquins are good pets but don't really offer much advantage as a dlink target. Their buff is all that they have going for them and you don't need to link them for that.
The reason people use karts is because of the water balloon debuff and great base land speed and tankiness. Corgi because of the aoe debuff and they are cute. Cwn Annwn for debuff and skill. etc.

A lot , cooking, tailoring, smithing. You can play commerce as a main class if you so choose to. Depending which one you do its afk and active, some have a mini game.

PVP is Race vs Race (elf vs giants) where you toggle it on and whoever else has it on can smack you about. You can also do this as a human and support 1 Race. You may also challenge others to a duel.

Im on 24/7 , what limit.

Very sandboxy, much to do, you can play as anything, and see no downside in the longterm. Crafting is interactive.

Combat pvp is there but don't expect to be rewarded for it as it's a dead forgotten system. Most of the rewarding PvP are from mini-games like guild battles, jousting, mafia, and some of festia.

Not really. Some late game dungeons and raids have weekly caps but there's no energy/stamina system if that's what you're asking.

They change every other season or month, they are usually hit or miss. Right now they're running a big ongoing series of events which will be overlapping each other throughout the next few months, something that they've never done before until now.

Very, there's no real queue system so you have go out of your way to party up.

Outside of Mabinogi I've been playing through a few other games. I have picked up Bitcraft and it's a nice enjoyable idle game. If they maintain a good update pace and the quality maintains I can see this game having steady success. Another game I recently have been toying with is Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment. I have played other MMO recreations as single player games but never one of the SAO ones. It is ok, moreso feels like a C-tier jrpg than an MMO world. I'll finish this and replace it with Erenshor which from what I have heard is fantastic.

Besides video games I have planted a vegetable garden this year. I've made a few salads and harvested some beans and cucumbers. My tomatos are either not coming in at all or are going to be late. They are tall but fruitless.

It's fairly painless with Lutris, just install with the nexon launcher using wine-ge-8-26, make sure dxvk is enabled (default) and set the nexon launcher executable in the game options tab after installing because it'll be blank otherwise.
