They dont feel negatively predisposed, but its not very romantic in nature. It feels like they overthink their interest in you, not wanting to let go because you might be worth the trouble, but at the same time really afraid to commit to said trouble. You seem like potentially something or someone really good, they enjoy your interactions, there's attraction, yet a lot of apprehension. "This is good but I am not sure if the best for me" sort of deal of i had to guess.

I am American Hispanic. I dont want to sound racist, not because I care if I do on 4chan, but because I have many good black friends and exes. Hell, i lost my V-card to a black girl. I never cared about color.... but i have also lived in about 5 different states, Lousiana and Georgia in particular, the Affrican American communities there absolutely despise Latinos. The only times I can say someome has been racist towards me and mine were, well, black. Except from a WW2 veteran I met at a subway once complaining about me speaking in Spanish lol.

Its definitely a cultural issue. I do not however think its institutionalized
