It doesn't literally explode people. But it "flings" an opponent at a very high speed while ripping their limbs and head off. The attack itself seemed invisible so I don't know if it was instantaneous or fast traveling, but when it touches an opponent they instantly die.

This command bar code welds all selected parts to the last selected one. Alt-drag over the model (because it doesn't get the descendants), deselect and reselect the primary part.

Beside this, there is already a built-in "weld all parts to each other" action in Studio. Select your parts then go to Model > Constraints > Create > Weld. I had to write my own welder because I didn't like which part it welded everything to and where it placed the welds.

Welds and WeldConstraints are two different instances. The latter you can see with show constraints turned on, the former you cannot.

They're from the game "Build to survive the Drakobloxxers" which, other than the unique and imaginative enemy, was much like any other build to survive game.

Off the top of my head:
You had clone and move tools (no delete but you could still grief[1] with the other two).
You and the building materials spawned at one end of the baseplate and a few broken egg hat meshes were on the other end.
There was a countdown timer in a hint. When it ran out, one drakobloxxer for each player spawned at the eggs and only chased its assigned player. It even had its prey in its name text.
I'm not sure any more if it was like this, but a random element was chosen per round (lightning, fire etc.) and all the drakobloxxers used that effect to attack. I know for sure that they came in different colors.
Any part they touched had its joints broken (BreakJoints).

One of the most successful bases I ever built in that game was just a solid tower of the widest (ca 20x20) plates with a roof on top, built in much the same way you'd build a 1x1 tower underneath yourself in Minecraft. It'd detach from the ground, sure, but it stayed very stable, they had a hard time actually toppling it to reach me.

Another unbeatable design was a base underneath the baseplate. The drakobloxxers could not reach you at all, but you were at the mercy of the block attaching you to the baseplate. There were no inlets under the baseplate, but you could put a block on top of it over the edge and then use the inlets underneath it to build downward. That one block (but none of the others because the GameTool did not allow moving parts which had all their joining surfaces joined to other parts) could be picked up by a griefer, sending your entire base into the void.
Because it was unreachable, it was also boring and anyone who tried this stopped playing very soon afterward.

Just started making my very first game with actual code, it's gonna be an RPG inspired by the ones I used to play back in the 2000s / early 2010 where every enemy is basically just a reskin but with different stats.
Question is, where do I store those stats? For example the amount of XP and Gold an enemy gives.
I do have some programming experience from Unity and Godot in which you can show these values in the inspector and edit them there. Is it possible to show a variable in the inspector like that in Roblox?
Otherwise maybe a switch block or dictionary or just a different script for every unit. I have no idea if Lua has all of those things.

These days, you'd be better off using Attributes or a central ModuleScript containing a dictionary such as {Demon = {TouchDamage = 5, Exp = 2000}, Ogre = {etc etc.}}

I think using ModuleScripts is the best approach, that way the data is quickly accessible and editable, if you wanted to edit multiple entities stats you can just change it, scroll down, change the other one etc. with attributes you'd have to select a model, change the attribute, select the other model and edit the attribute again and again, module scripts would also be more efficient than attributes because if you have 20 zombies for example, each one of them uses the same numbers from the module, whereas using attributes would let you alter each individual one, but would consume more memory because it stores those numbers for each individual zombie, and micro optimization is the most important thing when it comes to game development.

Thanks, I used a table in a Modular Script. Fairly good solution.

Had I used attributes or a configuration object with values It'd be very error-prone and I'd have needed to update every single model every time I needed a new variable.

The AI assistant told me to use attributes in code before activating a cloned script to pass data like the enemy's ID and that seems to work quite well for setting stats on spawned enemies.
The AI is strong as fuck, I asked for help writing the leveling formula and it instantly edited my file with a correct function.
It also deleted an entire script when I asked it why putting return at the top of the script to temporarily disable it for debugging caused an error. At least when AI makes a mistake it's easy to spot.

I typically use a modulescript to cache the player's data on the server itself, and then just read/write to that cached data instead of the datastore. When the player leaves, just update the datastore with whatever's in the cache. It's much easier to work with data this way.
As far as avoiding data loss goes, you're better off just using ProfileStore or DataStore2 or any other datastore wrapper that someone else created, rather than spending the time and effort to make your own. I really recommended ProfileStore since it was practically designed around that cache method I just described and has autosave functionality.
