For those who want to get into using mods, here is the short explanation:
Download BepInEx, manually or through r2modman. You can get r2modman and/or BepInEx from Thunderstore. Once you have done that, you can install mods.
To install mods manually, first start the game with BepInEx installed and then quit, that should make a new folder inside BepInEx named 'plugins'. If that's the case, just unzip the mods into their own folder and drag them inside BepInEx's 'plugins' folder (in most cases). That should be it.

Some neat mods:
>EasySettings
Adds new settings inside the Options menu. It's required for some mods, like ControlTweaks (allows slow walking), OrbColors (allows custom color for your shield), EasyVanity (allows vanity without using Illusion Stones), Emote Wheel and others.
>MapLoader
Allows custom maps to be added. You need to download the maps separately.
>Homebrewery
Allows custom items, such as armor pieces and consumables, and adds many other features. It comes with a few items by itself, so you have to download more content packs for it. You can alternatively download the Mega pack, which has the mod pre-configured (although, I believe it's currently outdated and will not work for the current game version yet, but you can keep an eye on it).

Bell damage scales with Mind by default, which Mystics use heavily because their skills scale with Mind too. Yeah.
Although, you can change the bell's damage scaling if you ask Vivian to change it by giving her colored stones (red for strength, blue for mind, green for dex). The same is true for every weapon, so keep that in mind.

I started as a mystic now, so what do i do in this game? I run the 1-6 dungeon for some quests and to get a bit of gear, it was fun. Is the game basically just running dungeon after dungeon until you get to the next higher level one or is there some kind of other goal or whatever?

Im a bit confused, some dungeons (or all?) have locked doors but i dont always find keys to open them, what gives? And then there are rooms that are blocked by boulders or walls even tho the map says there sould be something behind them, how do i enter?

Unrelated to that, do mystic guides exist? There are so many skills and i cant learn them all (yet?) so i have no idea which one i should prioritize since once learned the skill points are gone. Also i like the bell weapon so i hope its good.

Bells are so good that you will probably lose any need to cast spells desu, what kind of "guide" do you want? You will get mostly players that "I use this and this" recommendations, I use Novice Fira and Crya along Mystic Cross for example. Those are my mage spells because I never take off Sturdy / Leg Up / and the buff Imbue

the hitboxes from its projectiles are fuckhuge and linger for awhile, you can pretty easily hit an entire cluster of enemies with all of them which gives it better overall damage than spells like fluxbolt and crya in those situations

Sme catacomb dungeons have very sneaky hidden areas. For example, the room with the brudge that has a switch under it? Get on top of the bridge and dash to the black hole in the wall with the gate texture in front of it. That same exact trick is used in a different room, except you should be able to jump up onto some stones to get over the gate.

im pretty new to this game and apparently 20-25 grove is the latest content, im lvl 23 and the boss pretty hard, hes 25 tho so i might come back later. overall a fun little game, was quite a bit shorther than expected but im not complaining since its not fninished yet.
So i guess all thats left to do is getting BIS items (do all of them drop in grove?) and maybe work on achievements.

Hello from Fugbox. I was going to make a map for them but current issues surrounding the decompilation tools are limiting what can be done. I haven't checked this week because I've been playing PEAK and Battlefield 6 but maybe it's been updated. The big issue is kis keeps updating things and it often breaks the tools. If you don't mind using an older version you can still make maps but no guarantees on it working.

If'n someone does have a workaround or a new method I haven't seen yet I'd love a link or explanation. I have been wanting to et more experience in 3D modelling for stuff and wouldn't be opposed to helping make something after I get a stadium for Fugbox done.

Question to all the mystics/magus' here, what are you BIS items including enchantments? I went with magical enchantment on all items and for items i have:

im not so sure about rings since my brain thinks items under a certain level are bad so i went with earthwoken ring but im wondering if i should either use students ring or pearlpond ring. For actual fights i dont think it matters too much, but its not too hard to grind for gear in this game so might as well minmax.

if you take "dex mastery" you gain the damage bonuses and charged attack/enhanced aerial access to all weapons that have dexterity as their BASE scaling stat, no matter what you transmute their damage type to

therefore if you take a gun and transmute it to mind and take dex mastery, you still get the damage bonus on it and charge skills, the only things you really "miss out" on are the fact that weapons typically have bonus stats more inline with their base damage type, though some are designed with transmutation in mind like how coldgeist blade, runeblade and ice spear all have a magic damage bonus attached to them

Jadetrout is the best ring for mystics (I think also for bandits). The rest of your equipment is best-in-class at the moment.
For enchantments I prefer putting Magical on everything. Mystics are pretty much unkillable in PVE so stuff like Lively isn't necessary.
Colossus Tone is probably the best mystic weapon at the moment. The late game scepters are kinda meh. You can also use weapons from other classes by using a mystic flux stone to change what the damage scales off of, if you'd prefer to have a hammer or sword on your mage.

You should always be using cross so the point is moot. Some novice spells feeo better depending on how you play. I like cryo because it's good damage when fluxbolt is on cooldown. Honestly just learn all the novice spells and test them out on the dummys to see what you like. Make sure to keep in mind that some spells are better for AOE, or better for hitting things at range.

The one handed swords give both, dipshit. You can still make it Killer for more attack power and still get the matk that innately comes with it. And it's not like it's a loss if you build for pure strength and get the passive since you will still get free matk and mdef, the only cost is skill points on one passive and magic suddenly becomes an option, even if it's much weaker than usual without more investment. Divine will suddenly start healing instead of doing fuck all and it does some damage and pull aggro all in one instead of just aggro pull.

Well if we're on the same page, then I agree with you that there's not really much to invest points/gear into M.atk and take back my comments on your intelligence. Now for the gear that you would use happen to give you the stats you want and some M.atk, you could still use some of the skillbook spells like Talus, Crya and maybe Gust along with Divine to get any form of mileage out of the extra M.atk coming from your gear that's building towards mostly P.atk.

didnt mean to post this in /v/ since the thread wont stay up over there, after i sunk tons of hours into this game i have now pretty much bis gear for fighter, mystic and bandit and i have to say that mystic feels the weakes of them all and for some reason the most boring too. fighter CAN feel a bit squishy at moments but thats me being extremely critical. and bow bandit seems the most versatile to me, all you do is run around and do normal attacks, drop spikes and volley shot every now and then and everything dies so fucking fast, he also has a very good heal option, its very fun just by how op it feels.
Im not really a fan of the slower weapons in this game tho, fighter feels more comfortable with shield/sword and mystic with wand/shield, same with bandit and bow > gun, i dont really use katars since theyre ugly.

what are you guys experiences? i cant really decide which one is my most favorite other than bandit feeling the smoothest to play, i dont see big balance issues

Mystic can delete enemies pretty quickly if you use skills often. The spell damage also just betters better when you switch to the subclasses. Haste (magus skill) is basically the prerequisite delet button for bosses.

Dunno about that anon, but the second crescent dungeon mobs tend to punish melee players way more than other areas of the game. Or at least it felt that way when I was playing fighter in the last major content update.

mystic just feels the least fun to play for me, if i compare it to bow bandit its not nearly as smooth.

i run all three classes through the new boar boss multiple times now and just based of how easy and comfortable to play they were i would rank them (bow)bandit > (shield/sword)fighter > (shield/wand)mystic for me personally, they all have comparable gear btw
