>What is the Bizarre MMOdventure?
This is an ongoing project from a group of anons dedicated to playing through dead MMOs.
>How does it work?
The rules so far go as follows:
>Hold a tournament-style voting contest from a list of games
>Play the game that wins the final round of votes for 2 weeks
>After each game, we alternate lists of MMOs to vote on
>A guild photoshoot will take place every Saturday, check thread for pic times
>New adventure starts every other Saturday, after the week 2 guild pic

Feel free to recommend more games to be added to the lists and to encourage people to vote on a game you want to play.

I'll be sorting out the Movie Night polls later tonight, ~7 hours from now so if you have any recommendations, now would be the time. Please stay on theme. At least 1 Persona movie will be added to that queue, so 2 slots are still open. If more suggestions make it in, I might bump out some from the initial list. I have Anime movies from the backlog to fill in any empty slots.

My concern would be that two weeks is too slow to do much on a low rate server, whereas if we play a high-rate we're just going to crash into pvp without enough time to prepare. So we'd really have to find a sweet spot server.

Do browser mmos fit the criteria for the thread? I saw one called HighSpell that looks like it's going for a Runescape 1 feel. Wouldn't be hitting endgame in 2 weeks if it's paced the same as Runescape but could be good for social.

Bit surprising Perfect World didn't make the cut, as it was a fairly well known CMMO during the mid 2000s. The publisher Perfect World Entertainment got its name from that title.
Aion getting axed is also a surprise. Were there just not any good servers available for that one, or something?

The only games played here is Movie Night, Minigame Night, and a few days of an anime game if one is chosen.

RIFT felt like dogshit to play.
None of the skills had any real feedback and the way you used them was extremely cookie cutter.
The game has zero build variety despite that being a major selling point thanks to the way the skill trees work and most of the content is boring and uninspired, just slap an elemental glow on and call it a day garbage.
The main saving grace RIFT has is the world was actually a treat to look at and explore to a point. But that's not enough to carry a game. Once I hit the desert canyon place I lost all will to play because the combat was not engaging and the quests sucked.

Plenty of research and an understanding of how the soul trees work. Dumping 61 points into your main tree (aka buying literally everything) is so ubiquitous that every single skill calculator has a single button method of doing it.
