EU norms quality has improved, I don't know if it's because they made the matchmaking stricter or because there are fewer new players that make it out of turbonub queue, but the games are more fun.

The most damning proof that NN just copies League without understanding their own game. In most MOBAs, you start with little gold and farm up items gradually. Skill haste makes a bit more sense when you always start from 0 and build up to a skill spamming god in late game. In ER, you basically start with 5 items, so all haste does is complicate builds and balance.
If they really wanted to make cooldown reduction simpler, they should have just reduced base cooldowns of test subjects that always get CDR by 30%, remove CDR from purple items completely, then add CDR to a few yellow/red items that people mainly get for CDR like Elegant Gown/Taproot.
