Steam Scam
Future Games Show has announced Halloween:
Another scam created by Gun Interactive (Now Gun Media to avoid the noticing) and IllFonic

Gun Interactive and IllFonic were behind:
>Predator Hunting Grounds (Abandoned)
>Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Abandoned)
>Friday the 13th (Abandoned)
>Killer Clowns from Outer Space (Abandoned)

On Steam search for Halloween as shown in picrel
Scroll down the page on the right
Click on the flag
Click to report for Fraud
In the text box: write a couple sentences on why you dont believe these scams should be allowed on Steam's platform.
>Or just copy and paste this:

Gun Interactive (Now changed to Gun Media to avoid noticing) and IllFonic have been behind several abandonware scams that have ALL made it on steam. Why does Steam continue to allow these scams from the same groups? Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Abandoned in early access with NEVER a free update, only paid DLC), Friday the 13th (Abandoned at literal launch), Killer Clowns From Outer Space (Abandoned) and Predator Hunting Grounds (Abandoned).

Please remove or at least warn buyers of this game before they get it.

Genuinely mind boggling that they just keep doing this. I mean, I guess it works? People buy it for streamer shit for a few weeks then go back to Dead by Daylight. It'll be funny if DbD pushes out their Myers rework when this shit launches just to fuck with them.

How is this any different from 4chan sweethearts like Webfishing and Atlyss? Because those are goonbrained indie games?

>Make game
>it takes off
>make millions
>stop dev, leave
>people forget and move on

in my days, "abandoned at launch" meant "we released a working product, there's nothing more we need to do"

I bought TCM and was pissed they fucking abandoned it. It was genuinely fun. They added almost NOTHING to the game post launch that wasnt paid DLC. Theyve added a bit of shit but it was ALL paid. Apart from small balance tweaks they did fucking nothing for "free" after players bought. Now they're removing server support.

>Apart from small balance tweaks they did fucking nothing for "free"
no, seriously
what's wrong with that
that's how releasing games is supposed to work
was this marketed as some kind of live service where continuous updates were promised?
if they shut down servers without a self-host option then that's something I guess

That's when games were played on stone tablets and pieces were carved out of animal bone

>Texas Chainsaw Massacre launched for full box price
>Within 1 month(?) the game was sold to Gun Media with no promise of whether or not the game would shut down
>A couple months of no patches and paid DLC added overpowered characters (Power Creep) designed to get whales to want to pay2win investing more
>The game released a cinematic "story" mode, because they had the writer(?) of TCM in their office so they created a singleplayer lore what the fuck ever allowing you to examine props in the game. Complete waste of time/resources. No players wanted this. Only hardcore TCM fans even tried this, and most of them prolly dont play video games. It was that bad.
>At this point the playerbase was completely gone, it takes a long time to get into a game
>Rush Week was added
I think "Rush Week" was a new gamemode, but at this point almost everyone had stopped playing. I never tried Rush Week but this could actually be new content, I genuinely dont know for sure because I had given up
>Game announced to be shutting down again
Whats wrong with it is the game released in a very early state with promises that it would be fleshed out in time- You know, like how every single game in the (((current year))) sells itself? Buy our early access 0.0.0.0.2 build and we promise at 1.0 we'll keep developing the game goy

again, I'm not shilling or being a contrarian and I know fuck all about the game
but what you've described is very far from abandoning at launch
you just said they added a whole new game mode
that's the opposite of not working on it
>they added a lot of paid DLC and nothing free
that is a shitty tactic, but it is still not abandonware or even a scam
>the game released in a very early state with promises that it would be fleshed out in time
now that is also very shitty thing to do, and not fulfilling those promises is the first thing mentioned I can accept as scammy
but, and I don't mean to shift responsibility here, but whoever still falls for it in ((current year)) only has himself to blame
always pay only for what you get and not for what is promised and you'll never feel scammed

atlyss still gets updates they released a new zone

I was describing TCM. Friday the 13th immediately after launch had "trademark disputes" which caused them to not be able to issue refunds or legally patch the game in any way.

But if you consider paid skins as updates, then Killer Clowns is also still being updated as well as predator.
The reason I brought up Rush Week was because it was completely out of the norm for either developer. Even months/years after launch
