Do you like playing MMOs that have PvP but also enjoy making your character feel immersive, like using weaker armor or not wearing a helmet because it looks better, or using weaker weapons that do cool stuff like status effects etc?
Unfortunately I think this only works on small/indie MMOs, because they don't attract the super competitive PvPers who want to win at all costs and dominate the game, and also with the game being small the exploiters can be dealt with much quicker.

i liked doing rp alot in WoW with a group of friends, to the point it was really the only reason I get on the game other than doing the main game, I tried joining rp-pvp guilds but they eventually felt or wound up becomming try hard stuff, or it didnt feel that immersive or what i was expecting for Rp-Pvp, but what you explained OP was pretty much what I was wishing,
