Personally, I'd just omit a mouth altogether. When designing toons based on real things, I often aim for a look based more on cartoons (ex. Pompom not having a hundred strands of hair). Yeah, I had a hart time figuring out what to do with the eyes too. Unfortunately, all of the Twisteds (except Gourdy) have visible pupils in the red spots. Luckily, the first design I made didn't have visible eyes, and this second one barely looks like an official Twisted to begin with, so I decided it should be my eye guinea pig. I kind of like the way the eye looks here, but it's very dubious as to if it would fit among the others.
