Honestly if I remember correctly the upcoming new character banners from now until the 2.5 anniversary aren’t meta they’re good units for their archetypes but not mandatory. As I am typing this Global currently does not have a confirmed date for end of service. For all we know the Global server could be ending alongside the Japanese server on February 20th next year or they might keep the server up until the 3rd anniversary we just don’t know. In my opinion if there are any characters you’re interested in then try to keep enough tickets and beads for a spark just in case. Again this is my opinion I would suggest asking or looking around to see what others say/do so you can make an informed decision that works best for you so you won’t have any regrets.

Alright in case anyones curious the new characters are okay here’s a basic rundown.

Hildegarde is for coffin but dark is dominated by Multiball but can work if you like coffin teams.

Weihu is a skill and attack ramper but if you have all the parts of Fire skill damage then you’re set.

Karina is a tank increasing water resistance and has 100% starting gauge but I don’t think she’s used in anything.

Desert Denah

She’s core for dark multiball if you want her now is the time.

Desert Sonya

She’s good for wind combo flip like with other combo flip characters her abilities take bit to ramp up but having 340% power flip damage with her second board maxed out is nothing to scoff at. She works well as a sub/unison for Summer Leon or White Day Shcult.

Swap Marianne out for desert Denah. And if you want an overall better MBSD team take Malviola out for say Volgia. Malviola’s skill ramping is too slow when most co-op battles are over in less than a minute plus iirc most multi balls can’t be healed. Volgia lowers enemies dark resistance which is helpful. Also swap Tae for New years Belsidia or Karyl as another source of skill damage if you have them because iirc multi ball abilities cap out when three multi balls are on the field so it’s not beneficial to have any more especially since unlike the Couette’s, DDenah and Ryichi she doesn’t deal damage with her skill when her multi ball is on the field. That’s my thoughts but I will say play with your favorites in most cases you can still use them and make it work but things might be more difficult.

Honestly Wafuri's biggest failing is the bloated cast imo

I guarantee you could knock off at least 1/4 the playable characters to no real effect and we'd have room for alts/more alts of more liked characters. The multiplayer ones for Adv and Godly should be recommending Water SD but the Godly+ CSB is a bitch to clear with the S+ par time since you need to clear a 10x Level 3 PF trial at the start, and Water PF cannot do this reliably. Fire combo reduction PF (CRPF) is able to get the combo requirement for a Level 3 PF to around 19-20 and can also spawn multiballs that increase combo count, both of which makes clearing this trial a lot easier.

People from earlier threads were saying that Fire CRPF is so busted that it can clear off-element content it has no business doing, and this is one of those examples.

To be honest, it's not the guide maker's fault. That's what happens when we don't get the banners that ran concurrently with this Haniwa. We are in the era where the units from the banners end up gating the content that we receive alongside them, and thus have to settle with copium alternatives. We were supposed to have Summer Shouta from the Summer banner for the SD Hani and Silence Suzuka from the Uma Musume banner for this Haniwa for the DA Hani but due to the EoS announcement, a few events like the Combat Divers were skipped causing the Haniwa to be pushed forward. Without these units available, run times end up being longer and thus require healing to survive the Haniwa's attacks. Wind in particular has a shortage of good healers outside of Phiria and Kugui so they end up being split across the teams with no real replacements.

I believe the banner/event schedule should be fixed midway through the Dark Spiritbeast event, where we get Summer Zantetsu midway through the event.

They fixed daily missions as part of the 2.0 update. You basically just burn all your stamina on a mat quest and that’s enough to hit all the requirements to complete your daily. Maybe you need to also send out a material assignment team or craft 1 healing item. Then you can do the weekly Simulated Universe/Echoes of War run which take a bit more time on the weekends. You have like an entire month to do events too so you don’t need to auto grind an event like 100 times.

Luca Banner

Luca is the next unit good unit for water. Laputina is for Thunder powerflip and helps it even more. And the four star Farah is for water poison teams.

New years banner

Honestly not really worth summoning on except maybe for Noene for Fire powerflip support.

Magnos Banner

Magnos is the next big lead for Fire skill damage. Yukariko is good in her archetype and Ryouki is the four star version of Summer Shouta but her stats are lower and I think her skill isn’t as good either.

I’ve thought about this a fair bit lately and if World Flipper gets revived as a console game then that would be pretty cool but if they make it another Gacha game I’d have mixed feelings about that. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed World Flipper during it’s first year my enjoyment has slowly declined since then due to a variety of things like power creep, and the game feeling less like pinball and just become swipe left right and up to win. However for me the biggest thing is how events and characters were handled. When you have so many characters it feels like such a waste of potential as well as being lazy when they’re not apart of something. Take the Halloween characters for example the first Halloween characters were part of an event, but then subsequent characters were just added along with a rerun of the Halloween boss. Of course each character has their own character story and while that’s at least something I just feel like it’s not enough especially if new characters are added and then they get an alternate version for an event like anniversary Couette for example. I don’t have her original version so I didn’t care much for her or know what she does since the 2nd anniversary was my first time seeing her. If they added her original version as part of an event that would have been better because more players would get to know her through the event rather than having to summon her.

I’m going to have a little bit of bias and I know I’ve said this before but Yukata Leon and Nephtim should’ve had some kind of event and it was such a waste that they didn’t. I’ve only read up to chapter 10 and I might be misremembering but neither of them have been in the main story aside from Leon’s small background appearance in chapter 9. And Nephtim, has only been in one event, and she wasn’t a main character as she appeared towards the end of it. And I just find that astonishing especially since she was very popular. I know they could’ve worked elements of both their adventurer stories to form some kind of event, focusing on the memories of those who passed on, regrets or having to come with terms that death is inevitable in life. It could’ve focused on Nephtim, having to realize that the people she cares about may not be around the next day, and that could be another step of her slowly, becoming more mature as seen in her adventurer stories, or it could focus on Leon, struggling with the fact that he’s never been at peace because of his lingering regrets and survivors guilt. By the end he could have started to make peace with the past. Something like that could’ve been done but it wasn’t and it feels like such a waste. If World Flipper 2 or whatever does become a thing I feel like it would fall into the same patterns if it were to be another Gacha. It has gotten to the point that I, a returning player don't recognize like, every othee single character that wasn't in the main story because I didn't pull for them and they STILL are making up new characters.

I caught up with the main story and the events. They definitely tried to incorporate as many characters as possible however some did get more attention than others but it definitely highlights what you said before and what I said in my two college thesis length posts. That there are too many characters and not enough events with preexisting characters. It was neat having the 3 star characters as the last line of defense but if they focused on them in another event/given alts it would have been more impactful.

The Purger event having a story was definitely nice and seeing what everyone else is doing while the main cast is off towards the final battle gives them some attention and it further shows how dire the situation is.

The Distant Succession event was fine but having most of the backstory/context of the Farlands behind character stories is dumb. I knew somethings because of OG Vyron’s story but again if they made small events around the Farlands and related characters it would have been a larger and more interesting event.

So yeah they could have done things differently but I’m still going to play until the end and enjoy any content I can use Leon in. (He deserved better at least his alt art is really pretty.)

I still have a ton of character episodes I haven’t watched yet. Do I need to watch them all before the game dies, or will they still be viewable somewhere afterward?

-This is twofold paradoxial because by WF's rules apparently, you can't see a world you don't exist in, and Mikoto's existence made his mother happy
-The Origin/End Dragon just metaphorically shrugged and created the multiple worlds of WF
Mikoto dissipates, and everyone else goes home
Cue various good end things, and Alk is also both his proper physical age and is both a cook and a traveler

I have around 800 of those 3 star and 4 star astral gems that uncap units, but I don’t have nearly enough units to use them all on. Meanwhile I only have 70 5 star gems, and tons of 5 star units that still need to be uncapped.
Wish there was a way to convert the lower level gems into higher level ones, but I don’t think that’s possible.

I’ve also been reading unit stories and I want to know if some else feels the same way about a few things. Like when reading the 3 star launch character stories I felt more for the main cast rather than the character the story was for. Also that a fair amount of characters have loose ends at the end of their stories for example Remnith’s sister is still missing, Theriol’s curse was stopped but his village is still crystallized. The stone in Flana’s story started glowing at the end. It just cements the fact that there are too many characters and so much wasted potential.

Yeah, they really shat out too many new characters with seemingly interesting plotlines that went nowhere. That's probably why Ryunon is one of my favorite one-off characters, because he has his entire character arc in just his three episodes and he's better off for it.
I wish they could've introduced more story based alts for characters instead of more seasonal alts that didn't progress story and were just for fanservice, but I suppose they were strapped for cash so they didn't have much of a choice.

I wonder if it’s possible to piece together a vague timeline of character episodes. I just watched Evan’s episodes and was surprised to see Alk/Stella/Light being clueless about the Kaleidoscope and its shifts, so it must be one of the earliest episodes in the timeline.

I want to jump into the game before EOS but I feel like it will just make me depressed.

I know I’ve said this back in April but They should have toned down the rate of new characters and make actual events for the characters. Outside of Princess Connect and Zombie Land Saga collaborations the first year had 9 events. And only 4 of them had banner characters in the events with neon skyline only having Bulleta featured in the story. Also they should have given some more three star characters alts like Jalil in his story he mentions his village had myths about the Titan. He should have been in the Oath to the Dawn event as a four star rather than Rue Ruto being on the banner as a random three star completely unrelated to the rest of the banner.

I feel like that’s possible since new characters and character alts starting with the first Christmas banner should be after the events of Chapter 6 and just I would assume following the release of banners/events should give an accurate timeline. But as for launch characters who weren’t apart of the first 6 chapters of the main story it would be tricky to place where they would be. Like Lilial could have joined before Chapter 2 or after Chapter 2 since Nimbus wasn’t present in the first part but he was present in the second part.

I’m assuming you mean the main four if so I liked all of them especially Nimbus and Stella. Picking a least favorite if I had to it would be Light but again I liked them all. Having less than 10 main characters in the story is something I like more about World Flipper instead of Dragalia.

Favorite Gacha unit- It’s Leon seeing fanart of him was how I learned about World Flipper in the first place and I will always say he deserved better. But I will say I also liked Zekhel, Vyron, Illumine and Hildegard. I wish Hildegard wasn’t a coffin unit it makes sense considering her story but coffin teams were only used for the early days for Administrator solo fight.

Favorite Event - Oath to the Dawn as a whole was great. I also want to mention the first summer event especially seeing everyone attack the pirates trying to get Luca back fun to see.

While this was from the main story a few things that always stuck with me was Chapter 7 and 8 because the story really ramped up. Seeing Nimbus start to cry about Stella and Lilith was one thing but what really got me was Stella’s panic and fear while trying to establish a link without a World Flipper while Shakari fought Ohgir. That it really stayed with me after seeing it for the first time.

Favorite team- Yukata Leon combo flip. Leon as leader with Desert Sonya, Summer Shywe with Piamo, Marchella and Lemarque. It took time to ramp up but after the 10th powerflip you were set. Combo boost getting almost to 21 combo which then Leon would boost to 30 then Shywe giving pierce and levitate made it really easy to chain level three power flips.

Honorable mentions include Poison before the rework seeing 37k damage every few seconds with boost direct attack damage was how I survived the co-op Golem fight back in the day. Also Thunder Brusier Flip that used Barrek/Anniversary Nimbus was fun too.

Least Favorite archetype I’d say is Skill Damage because by the end it made most teams suboptimal. My favorite is powerflip followed by Direct attack then Multiball.

I’m missing around 30 to 40 characters with one of them being Valentine’s Floretta. My last unit I pulled was Vyron specifically his original version it was nice to get spooked by a five star at the very end.

Man it’s been fun at this point I’ve saved over 360,000 beads just for the hell of it, filled in 96% of the Flipperpedia. Basically experienced everything I could and I can say I don’t have regrets like I did with Dragalia. I know I mentioned I have issues with how things were handled like events, character alts, and information being locked behind character stories. I still stand by what I said but after seeing/reading everything I could. I wouldn’t mind if World Flipper comes back in some form. Preferably a console game with updates or something more permanent. But if it’s another Gacha I would be fine with it as long as they don’t fall back into old habits.

Well, I did it. Finally watched all the unit episodes. I couldn't get every unit, but I almost got them all. I made sure to rewatch Mia's 3 sets of episodes too. I got into the game because of her, and she became my waifu. I love this cute fluffy girl.
I'm gonna miss this game. It was my first gacha, and I played it for just over 600 days (I got the 600-day "achievement" a could days ago). It was surprisingly well made. I thought the main story ran into issues over time, but I really enjoyed the characters, the spritework and animations, and the music.
I might never play a gacha again, but this one was definitely a good experience.

when the EoS for Japan was announced they posted on their social media that there werr no plans for the CN version to end service and they planned more original content, but they're only around the 3rd anniversary of JP content so they haven't needed to release anything new/original after getting through all the JP content yet (they have had some original stuff based on that post, but I don't think it's been more than some non-story events?)

if you aren't attached to your save data then you can still use the offline server as it supports starting with a fresh account (and you can also edit the save for that account too to get units/beads/whatever)

the only thing that stops people from doing so is the inability to get the CDN yourself now, so you'll need to find someone to share it with you (although there may be an issue right now where you can't download the files even if you have a copy of the CDN, that happened to me when I tried and there's other users in the discord for it that are having the same issue)

Ya know looking at this made me realize: the game truly had majority 70% human females and I only recognize like at least like what 10-20 of em. I suppose unless you are a protag, part of main story, or have a rather extravagant design, you’re least likely to pop out more and appeal to people.
