of course this is all from a genshin player's perspective, don't play HSR but I wouldn't be surprised if it feels way greedier in practice due to being turnbasedslop

Gameplay is pretty fun, pretty much dragalia lite with roguelite elements. Dunno how to think about the loop of using your tower runs to clear content instead of just using the characters as is but it's been fun enough so far so I don't mind. Main story has been interesting so far from what I've played, dunno how in depth the protagonist personality thing will end up being or mastering. I think the music is really lackluster and the game could de a better job at explaining some mechanic stuff.
I absolutely love the disc system, might be the first game I will roll for the weapon type shit not that I'm going to play this more than 2 weeks tops

Neutral was 148 on hit, 236 on crit
Weakness was 251 on hit, 401 on crit
Resist was 26 on hit, 41 on crit
Hope they adjust the numbers a bit, if you bring the correct type you do 70% more damage so you absolutely need to counter-pick the enemy for everything

None of the designs so far catch my eye.
I thought it'd be a blue archive competitor when I saw the art style and that it was by Yostar but I don't know, I haven't seen any character so far that catches my eye and it really seems like they're a lot closer to Shironeko/Dragalia than any other game. Having also played both Shironeko and Dragalia for years, I can't think of the gameplay as anything special either.
The main character design feels like a huge fucking waste too. This should have been a playable character instead of wasting such an amazing design on the blank self-insert MC which sucks a lot. Overall, I'd say it's rather disappointing.

Finished the story in CBT. Comparing it to blue archive, I'd say BA's initial chapters were a lot more slice of life (with the zaniness on the side of course like the bank robbery) while this started touching on world building and serious tones as soon as chapter 2. But it is very funny that it had the same setup with the initial girls you meet are dealing with a bankruptcy issue from loans (in SS's case, forged loans from a corrupt corporation) that forces the plot to move forward.

So how exactly does the pity/rates work? I get the hard pity is 160 and you're guaranteed the banner character, but considering I'm at 100 rolls already and still no 5* I'm guessing there's no 80/80 split. So theoretically I could get 2 5*s before 160 and potentially lose both coin flips, but the pity counter doesn't reset right? Well I guess losing two 60/40s in a row would be extremely unlucky but still, it feels like going on a dry streak for that long and not hitting contastly it would feel extremely shitty. Also there isn't any ramping rate increase or soft pity that we know of right?

The AA range is so small and elites and bosses hit hard especially in wave/mob based modes like calamity so yoy just get chunked from all directions unless you stack stamina stickers, and bullet telegraphy is not that clear and dodging just feels shitty. At least ranged characters can just play bitchmade.

Okay I just got Freesia from that mail the devs sent and holy fuck she does feel like ass to play. The way she slows down to a crawl every time she gets in attack range of an enemy is absolutely awful. My thoughts after the CBT:
The comparison with Blue Archive is retarded, only the live2ds have the same style. Everything else from gameplay to general art style, to progression to character design has virtually nothing in common with it. (Barely any cunny too)
Visual presentation is pretty top notch, very responsive and kinda has its own identity in terms of UI and general quality. Felt very polished on the whole.
Gacha and rate of progression is atrocious. It's basically a sidegrade of Hoyo gacha. Having limited characters with a coinflip and no guarantee, combined with a constellation system so dupes matter for them, combined with the disc system where you need three of them for each team and those dupes benefit from dupes as well. Raising characters was easier during the CBT but the stamina costs for farming materials are insanely high for the rates and requirements.
Gameplay is fun but I think there's a lot of honeymoon period here and we haven't really seen any endgame yet. In the long run you'll spend most of your time just repeatedly running the roguelite so you can minmax your build because RNG can screw you over.
UI-wise there's a lot of missing info or QoL but that's one part they can work on and improve later.
