PC gaming is dying.
There's a few things left but the platform is stagnant. I wish it weren't so, but that's where we are.
At least I was there at it's peak, 2003 - 2012.

We won't have any real good PC exclusive shooters because CoD killed the genre.

We won't have any more good actual MMORPGs because WoW turned the entire genre into low effort trash.

We won't have any more RTS because everyone who made them is retired or dead.

Emulators. Even now Sony and Nintendo have teams of lawyers suing anyone bold enough to host a site.

All that's left is CoDtrash and gachaslop. That is the future of PC gaming.

Eh, even gacha slop is dead imo. I started playing gachas when they were Japanese only when it came out around 2011-2013 (Rage of Bahamut and PAD era)
Now gachas are all soulless corporate investments with an omni-pandering audience and all plays the same. I only play niche gachas that caters towards me (as in I'm almost out of this genre after nearly 14 years of nonstop playing)

But maybe it's good that I'm burnt out of gaming altogether so I'll just pick up irl stuff to do to fill the void. I think I've played enough desu.
