Counterside is a korean urban fantasy gacha created by bside. The gameplay apes the battle cats gacha and the story revolves around humans battling for survival against an ever present force called the counterside which warps and consumes everything.
You the CEO of Fenrir company along with a large cast of characters are humanities last best hope to push back and survive.

The game is not in maintenance mode but it is on the back burner while bside is close to launching a pseudo sequel called Star Savior. This game is fully 3D and is expected to have the same systems as and play much like Epic Seven. It is expected to launch sometime this year possibly by the end of summer or fall.

Yeah I thought about restarting it but it just felt too sad. I was tired of desperately trying to keep us from drowning. Almost no one cares about co op or anything in game except the weekend pvp chart poster. At least here we can chill and only post when we feel like it.

Star Savior will do ok at first simply because it's new and looks good enough and people are familiar with and nostalgic for epic seven. The real test will be after the first month, will bside be willing to keep advertising the game? Will they put out banners that make people want to spend? Will it have the shittiest parts of epic seven or will they add some of quality of life? Will it have anything new to spice things up?
Chances are the answer is no to all of that but who knows.

I remember back when I drove /gtg/ off of /vg/. The general strategy involved constant doomposting, attacking thread bumpers and frequent contributors, and chasing away new players who discovered the thread. Then supporting a move to /vmg/ when the general was on the verge of death. Nice to see that it still works with /csg/ and now both are where they belong.
Of course it would never have worked if the games were actually good, both games have in common that they had a lot of potential and got fucked by their companies with negative changes and stagnation into a zombie of themselves.

80% on lin xien (I think she dies before she can get her second ult off if it's less than 76%. In anycase, I don't think she can survive above level 12 or 14 gigas, but idk)

Def pen on mavka and achris - for the second team, if the first hit check is completed too fast, there's a chance he'll start the second check early, which would mean the 1:05 change won't clear the fail state, and you're going to eat his fist.

It's pretty normal for it to take about 3-6 months of active play to be able to catch up on story for most gacha. Sometimes it's even longer like arknights. I'm sure they exist but I can't even think of one that lets you power through the whole story right away.

There's no gacha that's gonna last where dailies take too long. GFL2's global audience was fucked so hard just by gunsmoke, which is 20 minutes auto daily for 1 week out of 3.
Gacha can't allow themselves to have chores that take this long anymore. Imagine Counterside but you had to do 10 manual dives a day (aka no skip, but you can auto fights). How long would it have lasted?
