it could be worse, i used to play a game that had banners for characters AND their weapons. so you'd have to do 20 pulls for pity on the character and then another 20 pulls for their weapon otherwise they'd be useless.
it was also a resource hog and that made the game super frustrating to try and play, if your phone / pc wasn't up to snuff you'd be locked out of content for a while until they upped the max level. At least this one there isn't anything I can't do outside the world tree levels, i'm still stuck on floor 16

Do you like the original LN / manga / anime? It's good enough to scratch that itch waiting for more content. it has lots of back story and non ln content that is still really funny and enjoyable, to me anyways.
game mechanic wise it's meh but i've struggled through worse gaccha games for less entertainment. it's fun to play for 30 mins a day waiting on new shit.

Apocrypha and Chronicles are basically 7 shadows focus with barely anything about Cid.

I’m about to try this game out for Miku, any advice or tips for someone starting out? How is rerolling?

Your first run will take 20 minutes, then it's faster after because you only need to delete your account data, though it's still 3 minutes per reroll, rates are shit so it will take a few hours to get what you want
The best character to reroll for is Epsi&Beta duo, but since you are coming for Miku, I guess it's better to reroll for her instead, she is a good unit for newcomers
You will often find yourself hitting a wall in the story/gaiden until you have enough SS characters to build a team of each 4 colors, and then it will be a walk in the park for everything but PVP and that one whale mode. (I don't care enough to grind these myself)
Events are easy to grind, no transferable pity, they are stinky with rolls like most jp gachas, but they do give free SS units from time to time
Anniv is next month and will have a x3 for every nodes drop, so I would keep every burgers I can and wait for anniv

Gamma is pretty good and harder to skip because yellow is still the shit color and has a lot fewer options
Most skippable has to be a green demon, probably demon delta, because green is stacked

I've got demon delta and demon zeta on my green pvp fury team and I switch back and forth between them, I'd rather use demon zeta for waifu reasons but when I switched to her instead of delta I lost 20 something ranks.
