Stalling my Palkia DA hunt because the bastard has so few weaknesses, is bulky, and has surf.

You just have bad luck/bad observation skills. I caught two shinies off normal outbreaks within an hour yesterday with sandwiches. Massive mass outbreaks are basicallt shiny machines.

I didn’t struggle much with Charcadet but I genuinely would never register this as a shiny and not just a result of the lighting if not for Ceruledge refusing to attack it.

I'm still trying to get a shiny venipede/scolipede. Contemplating doing the genocide method of shiny hunting since soft resetting the scolipede spawn isn't working out.

Nice to see the thread again I just got back and picked up a Switch 2.
I'm really surprised by how small Shiftry is,keep in mind, this is an XXL version

coming up on 10 boxes of Finizen. this experience has absolutely soured my experience on Scarlet. I'm only doing this so I can see it through. these shiny odds for MM are fucked, totally fucked. It has NEVER EVER been this fucking painful.

It's pretty easy when they're next to non-shinies though. The body color is slightly more red too.
You gotta get an eye for it I guess. I hunted some pretty subtle shinies like P-Tauros, sometimes I had to take a double take but once it spawned I noticed basically instantly
That being said I'm still very grateful for the auto attack feature because there's some virtually impossible to tell shinies (due to size and/or barely different shiny) like Tandemaus, or actually impossible like Minior

I think my main issue is that with something like P-Tauros, while subtle, it still got the dark and lighter tones reversed so you can spot it at a second look.
With stuff like Numel and how the lighting in the game changes based on time of day I wouldn't be confident to call a shiny out or not if not another standard Numel was right next to it for comparison.

Going back to older gens for shiny hunting feels so ass. Booted up XY to try and get shiny Whirlipede/Goomy, friend safari encounters are such slogs and radar chaining is probably one of the worst shiny hunting methods ever created.

Alone is fine, you need a route to burn dynite ore on that has a wide guard user as well as two ice types.
Have 999 dynite ore and you can do at least 110~ runs on the same route. That's a 70%~ chance of having seen shiny Zygarde in those runs.
Doing runs with people is slow because you can't turn off animations.

Finally! I've been hunting Shaymin in BDSP and my deluded ass is using a stat tracker to check whether it is Square shiny and reset over any Stars, just in case that feature ever comes back.

Are there any actual articles/investigation into each size value, and whether or not there are 256 sizes or just size windows, e.g. 50-75 would all show up as the same size Pokémon? I have been trying to find this info for months and nowhere has it, but without hacking I can't really confirm it myself either

Got lucky with a Pyroar (male) outbreak today and caught these 2 sleepy boys. Both are only slightly bigger than average though, but one of them has the Cloud Watcher title so I think I'll name him Squall.

yeaaa baby, i finally finished my SS SBQ after spending 13k on Lugia, here's my HOF team. Not sure what I'm gonna do next.
I have an in progress Ruby SBQ where I'm making a Croatia themed team, and I also got a Vega cartridge that I want to hunt on (autism I know)
And of course, I still technically have 8 more shinies to get in SoulSilver with Kanto.
