>>11790435 (OP)update the park archive
I have achieved enlightenment from this last park.
>>11790974Shit yeah, it does need updated. If anyone has the files and can update it I'll put it in the next OP.
>>11790435 (OP)>Current state of weekend multiplayer: map pending>mfw we play Enlightenment again
>>11791343>Enlightenment againpls no, I want to play on a smaller map next weekend. It's more fun and it lets people get more creative with builds.
>>11791510Excellent, we will play on Big Ass Rock next.

>>11791510So we're playing Tiny Towers?
>>11791518wasn't there an anon talking shit about that park in the last thread?
>>11791510Ok, I remade the map to be smaller just for you :)
If we actually do want to do something like a ribbon world for one weekend I can try to make one
>>11792760This is silly. I approve.
I find it hard to finish maps, I want to work on one soon to give a shot and maybe post someday.
now fill in the rest of the mountain
Good thing there are no cars in this game.
Does anyone else find it really satisfying to "fix" existing parks rather than building on a blank landscape? Like firing up Katie's Dreamland and fixing the path layout and tweaking the ride designs, etc?
The parks with killer rides and vandalism and shit can fuck off though.
>>11795182Stop hugging the line, asshole.
>>11795282it's pretty fun to do, it's neat to sometimes open up a scenario and clear the rides to reimagine the park.
>>11795282I've been lurking this thread for years but I've only ever played scenarios for these games. I don't enjoy building for the sake of building, I need goals. I also mostly use prefaced coasters. I love this game though and the stuff you guys come up with is crazy.
>>11795372Then try completing the scenarios making only custom-built rides. That's a goal, and it's a lot harder to do since you have to manage a park on top of build rides that don't kill people.

>>11795282Sometimes it's fun but other times Chris Sawyer's coaster building skills triggers my rollercoaster autism so fucking hard that it pushes me to redesign the ride entirely or delete it.
>>11795282I genuinely love the parks with pre-existing rides. The Storm in Katie's World was one that I always enjoyed fixing up back in the RCT1 days. It was a fun building challenge to get that coaster to enter the station below 30 mph so it wouldn't crash.
>>11795980Storm is a perfect candidate for block brakes. One of my first fixes every time I start that map.
>>11795372I hope you downloaded our track packs and use those prebuilt rides
>>11790435 (OP)I might play the Enlightenment map on my own and fill in those spots at the top of the mountain. I like how the park looks, and it deserves to be finished.
>>11796054share some screenshots if you do
>>11796054The top of the mountain is very close to the build height limit so you aren't going to be able to do a lot. That's why it usually never gets filled up. Please post progress screenshots if you do try.
>>11796057I'll even upload the map when I'm done.
>>11796067Luckily, I have some RCT1 tricks I can use to make buildings up there. I'll just have to thug it out and do it the old fashioned way.
>>11796067>That's why it usually never gets filled upI would say that the camera not working at the top was a bigger reason back before that was fixed.
>>11795685I don't like building rides though, I like using prefabs.
>>11795982I actually do sometimes. On one of my old hard drives I probably have some from as far back as like 2015.
>>11796560>I like using prefabs.
I think prefabs are okay to use 1 or 2 of in a park, but it really looks obvious as hell when they're stacked around the park.
Did another park. Dinky Park this time. This somehow took me less time than Bumbly Beach despite being bigger. I did less buildings this time so that's probably why. I liked this one a lot.

>>11797980that looks awesome, anon.
So what are we playing this weekend? My recommendation, personally i think, for me its Alta Vista
under OtherParks-Other Parks if you have the 4chan kit installed
>>11798525Oh neat, I haven't seen that map since we last played a year and a half ago.
>>11798525I'm fine with that. We haven't done a fun tropical map in quite some time.

Alright I'm going to reinstall this damn game, this looks ridiculous.
I want to play a huge map with a waterfall in the middle. Does it exist ?
>>11799119You want Cliffs of Arrmemsee.

>>11799008we did it reddit! It only took 1 hour and 48 minutes!!!
>>11799206I like building mazes
I think the maze is a little too hard this time.
>>11799650I could add a little shortcut in the design. I think I made it a little too hard this time too.
>>11799119How about Pratt Falls?
When I load a certain scenario it says that some RCT1 assets are missing. I installed the game with RCT2 assets. But I thought RCT2 included all assets from RCT1 ?
>>11800041It does not, no. You need to own RCT1 and manually point to the install folder in the settings.
>>11800041>I thought RCT2 included all assets from RCT1 Nope
Not a big deal anyway, just pirate the GOG installer
https://gog-games.to/game/rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe
>>11800085>>11800057>>11800051Is there any way to add the assets from the GOG installer without installing RCT1 ?

>>11802537Yea take the back corner with the monorail. You can even path it towards the jungle area across the water, and once Reine is done, you'll have a second pathway into it
I was initially going just leave this as a scenery greenhouse, but the opportunity to extend it into a T-shaped entry was too good to pass up. It seemed pretty sneaky, but every once in awhile you get happy little surprises.
>>11803008I'm also debating on whether or not to leave the glass clear or add a white tint.....but with all the glass around the area I figured I was better off leaving it transparent.
>>11800160Yea I think the pressure pushed out towards the jungle area, but I'll go back into a double wide some paths just to be safe. It's also the reason I was making so many concession areas last night since that little restaurant area you see in there got CRUSHED.
