Are there any decent dog related vidya outside of Okami and Dog's Life?

bonus points if it somehow also manages to take place in Antarctica, but I'm not holding my breath on that

>a ninja and his dog

I'm surprised I've never heard about this considering what a big shinobi fan I am.

Can't think of any dog-centric games besides the ones posted but here's some where dogs are playable in some form:
Sengoku 2 (arcade, you can transform into a dog warrior)
Dynagear (arcade, can play as a dogman)
Slap Happy Rhythm Busters (psx, can fight as a dog/old man duo)

Considering the nips fixation on dog media in the 80's, its kinda surprising they are so rare in vidya.

Designing mechanics and coming up with fresh ideas for four legged characters is extra hard, that's the reason insomniac atopped making spyro games after the third one.
>In an interview on Resistance: Fall of Man, Ted Price stated that they gave up the series after releasing Spyro: Year of the Dragon because his actions were limited. As an example, Ted Price stated that Spyro did not have hands so he could not even hold a gun.

I love how a few episodes in the dogs start talking out of nowhere and then never stop

They could've given Spyro some type of bipedal magitech armor with hands if that's what was holding them back. We could've gotten a fantasy proto-Ratchet & Clank that way.

I tried the first game on Xbox years ago and I hated the controls. I thought it'd be more like Max Payne. Kinda want to try it again though.
