SNES because I’m white and my parents are still together

Grew up with both back in the 90s, as well as a Famiclone and a 486 PC.

Mega has a lot of great ones that match the SNES' best but SNES just has more.

I like the MD but come on ,Super Famicom all the way,much larger library (+1700vs+800) ,and more all time great

I mostly play Genesis these days because I've long since played most of the SNES' best, many times.
Not all of them though, so I do occasionally play some snez.

Genesis has a lot of sports games (so does the SNES) but still they're better on the Genesis. I once started thinking a list of "must owns" on the Genesis and it got to over 30, just of games I personally really liked.

Nobody honest can knock the Genesis library, it's something. Despite what I said about the SNES the quality is still there on it's good games and I would very much own one.

My favourite Genesis/Megadrive game is Dynamite Headdy and there is nothing as intense as that on the SNES. The fact is that both the Genesis and SNES are worthwhile consoles. Pretty great list. I find it funny that most of my favourite games for the system come under that second heading. I have yet to play Hellfire or Truxton, so I'll give them a go. I also personally didn't like Beyond Oasis; I got quite far, but grew bored with the repetitive gameplay. The list is probably missing a few titles, like Battle Mania 2, the MW titles, Jewel Master - but I can't think of much else (besides say SOR). I also have to play PSII again because I played the first one on the master system and loved it, but couldn't get into PSII after playing it only briefly.

If Hellfire interests you, try Zero Wing on the MD, it surprisingly great and is supposed to be the better of the Toaplan horizontals. Eliminate Down is a rare MD game but it's supposed to be super top tier.

For me it is the opposite, grew up with the snes (so did my friends) so I played a ton more of that library. I only had very limited Sega exposure.
But I picked up a Mega Drive a few years ago and still enjoying it.
The high number of exclusives for each console make it worth to own both

I struggle to find genesis games i want to play that isnt sonic, phantasy star or rocket knight. where as SNES is a top 3 library of all time at worst. not even somewhat close

Yes, am a personal fan of the Darius games. The soundtracks on both are great and the graphics in Super Nova/Darius Force are great. Acrobat Mission is supposed to be decent as well, it's an SFC title.

Acrobat Mission was ported by Micronics, but apparently this time the programming was done by more (and more competent) people than just the SNES Raiden coder. It's a shame because the graphics guy of snes Raiden seemed experienced, which shows.
Also what is more funny, the SNES port of Aero Fighters wad coded by micronics people from the NES era, the lead programmer worked on NES GnG lol.
