Back with a couple of questions about IR - midway through clearing out Ront + Talvirar for the second time and I've found a couple of sidequests that don't seem to be associated with events:
The powerful enemy at Tantali of Departure - the tablet behind it says to dance basement then go to the altar. I already found the first part way back when Ront was first cleared, but bringing Meroli to the altar after killing the boss doesn't do anything. Was that just the condition to unlock the boss or am I missing something?
There's a cage in south Tantali of Departure with someone requesting meat - am I correct in thinking this is a specific item that will come up later, or is it one of the generic consumables based on their description?
I've found a couple of event markers with no icons - something in Shuva talking about 'Paradise' as well as the event in front of the Scylla princess's cell. Do these require specific party members or progressing the story further?
Are the dragon/shark/chimera meant to be endgame character unlocks/superbosses? Their damage outputs + defense seem to vastly exceed my current party strength (~lvl 35 or so), but it seems weird how early I've been able to access them if that's the case.

For the Tantali of Departure guardian, you go southwest of the village and then southeast, there'll be a cave with a basement, you need the small dog to spawn the guardian
The meat is a specific item sold in one of the shops in the game, Check the shops in all the regions and buy unique consumables.
The event markets like that Paradise word and the scylla door are related to things. The scylla one is actually easier than you think, explore the prison more and kill stuff there. I can tell you about the Paradise one. It should be easy to figure out if you explored Signine enough though.
The big monsters are endgame unlocks, they're not too difficult to get around level 40 like you are though. You're meant to get them later in the story, and they're great for a long time. In the postgame, you can dump them once you start raising mana benefit and start getting genesis stone skills though. Lots of monsters a hell of a lot more powerful than the dragon deep into the postgame. The dragon actually becomes a liability at times since some bosses counter physical attacks on specific turns, which hakika designed so that you can't just use the dragon on everything. This also means magic is really good in the postgame too, especially ice magic and other ice skills.

You’re meant to have a lot of mana benefit on your team for the gatekeepers, around 10-30 is about right for them. You can start getting genesis stone skills from the moths in Caunis Merri after you get mana benefit 10 on them. There’s a village up ahead where you can easily raise mana benefit, so take advantage of that. There’re better ways after you get even deeper though, but the ant village stays a good way for a long time.

The main story's pretty short, only about 10 hours. You can get to 20-30 hours of playtime from the postgame though, there's a bit to do. I do suggest going into the translator room in Shake's house to be able to buy crafting materials though, it cuts down on a ton of the grind.

Artificial Intelligence does not have the ability to love, it simply does as told by the prompts you give it. It is the brain and brain only, lacking the soul and heart. You can touch up and redraw an AI-generated image as much as you want, it still doesn't change the fact that it was originally made without love.

I would not care as much as I do about the subject if advancements in AI image gen weren't making it impossible to discern human art from AI art on sites like Pixiv. Bad actors keep posting AI-generated images to that website without tagging it as such.

There are also varying degrees to which human input/"love" can influence the initial gen. For example, human-drawn sketches can be used as guidance for the AI via Controlnet. An example of what's possible is the lineart/composition being entirely human-generated and then the AI just adds in coloring/shading. You can take that even further and have a human generate lineart, composition and coloring/shading and then just have the AI enhance the shading with a low denoise img2img.

Colony pretty much recognizes the cast’s weapons are all endgame tier which is why Auris advises early on since they can’t refine their weapons further they should focus on the Brands. The Colony cast is also fully trained to come to Schisma to begin with and they don’t recognize anyone as lacking.
Whereas in Awake it was a huge deal the Colmana got weakened and they see the Blight girls as super strong and in Kludge Auris didn’t join the party to see her level.

Nice to see Noja and Shugulana make an appearance in IR postgame. Comfy game overall but the difficulty jump for postgame is super steep and the grind was unpleasant; imagine having to grind twice just for stats (ayylmaos for levels, ants/dragon for mana). Found this image in the archives. It was suggested as an alternate strategy for beating Aevelwan in Awake that does not require grinding Ultra Ultimates. It was posted with the warning that it will fail if Nosh gets crit'd.
For anyone thinking of using this, it is not quite as simple as simply hoping Nosh doesn't get crit'd. Much more needs to go right to win with this strategy than that. Expect this to require 10, 20 or more attempts. Ways this can fail:

>Aevelwan attacks Nosh before she can be healed on turns 9 and 16 (this is more common than Nosh getting crit'd)
>Clar doesn't get enough crits with Grim Rose - the fourth Grief of the Despised cannot be tanked with Guard and it wipes the party, so you need to do enough damage before this occurs
It DOES work when none of the above happen, though, and going through about 20 attempts is certainly going to not take as long as grinding Ultra Ultimates.

As of thirst, Will is confirmed to be alive and have written another book. Ending A is the canon ending since Miseri and Inel are alive as well.
Back when the game first came out, there were two running theories. Either the protag was part of the nightmare (an alternate version of Will, separate from the main body as mentioned in the ending A notes) or Will himself. Obviously it wasn’t Will himself that died in the ending since Will is alive as of thirst. It’s the former, a nightmare/dream version of Will. This is actually somewhat obvious when you realize it’s Will talking to the protag whenever the screen gets static-y. Not to mention him being blindfolded and still being able to see clearly.

I have a quick rundown of the story of the game:

Nora was the daughter of a village of backwards humans that hated monsters with zeal. They found a monster who was infected with a disease that only affects and kills other monsters and named it the Divine. This cult now goes around using the brain deadish monster's infected body to slaughter other monsters they can trick into coming to their cult.

Nora and Will met at some point and fell in love. Will was one of the rare few men in Ordowald so he hooked up with Nora with the blessings of the village. They have three kids, Inel, Miseri, and a boy named Ava. Things are going great but then it turns out Will was a monster in disguise. One of the villagers saw this and ratted him out to Nora's mother Gertrude, who was the head of the village. The monster haters move the family into the mansion where they conduct purgings of monsters regularly, hoping to kill off Nora's family.

All three of their kids get stunted in different ways because of growing up in the mansion filled with this anti-monster disease. Inel is mentally slow, Miseri is sickly and tiny, and Ava just is born suffering. Will and Nora don't know what to do until they find that there might be a cure for this somewhere else. Ava dies and physically unravels in Will's arms as he tries to get his son to the cure. Will snaps.

Will makes the darkness/nightmare aura around the mansion to save his remaining two daughters. I say this because Inel and Miseri both get their major problems fixed while trapped. Game starts.

It doesn't produce gens that flawless on the first gen and it also doesn't produce gens at that resolution on the first gen.
To produce a gen at that resolution with any model, local or cloud, you need to gen, upscale then inpaint lower resolution sections of the upscale piece by piece until you've inpainted the whole thing to get rid of upscaling artifacts.
Well, technically with local models you can set the resolution to gen at that big of a resolution but the models will break, badly, as they weren't trained with anything near that resolution.
But yeah. NovelAI does not produce flawless gens. Its gens have plenty of tiny, subtle errors - and again, the eyes are always the first place to look. The eyes will pretty much never match the actual character design's eyes. The two eyes' designs will pretty much never match - albeit sometimes the differences are tiny and subtle. The eyelashes will often be weird/flawed, sometimes in small, subtle ways.

Plays like a sequel game to be honest. You banter with Fiede and your other monster companions just like you would in SEQUEL games and there are clear goals as to where you are supposed to go next unlike in ASYLUM where you could be wondering aimlessly for hours at times. The huge roster of monster companions seems overwhelming at first but it's really not since they only have a single skill tree and most of the customisation comes from the skill crystals items. IR also cockteases you and shows you glimpse of future content just like SEQUEL games as well as shows you the aftermath of some events after Era of Myth/awake.

On the negative side, it is way more grindy in the postgame. Postgame content Ovitri in particular is balanced around mana benefit 100 (last boss pretty much requires you to have it since there is a 30 turn timer before she goes hiyaayaaayaaa bazoongas so you can't stall it out). There are no chickens to speed up the grinds too so have fun; I personally just Mtool my mana benefit though. If you dislike Sheena, you will probably hate her even more.

It's the most different of hakika's modern games, it's a lot more quiet and maze-like than Innocent Rules was. The story's good at least, but it only tells you a lot about what's going on as you get near the end of it. You're also only going to see Ino's scenes if you do ending C. One thing, though - wasn't Shake's cursed friend in the original translated as Tera? In this game, Hakika actually gives her English spelling as Tela. Should I translate it as Tera for consistency with the original translation or Tela for consistency with the in-game art showing her name? I'm leaning towards the latter, but I figured it was worth asking.

It’s actually Ttela with two Ts for some reason. I’d say change it to Tera for consistency, hakika doesn’t know how English works. It’s not the first time translators in this series have had to take liberties with hakika’s intentions. For example, sub-par using Dire for Daia 「ダイア」’s name way back in blight necessitated a kludge spoiler his real name Dialogue 「ダイアログ」needed to be changed to Directory in English to still make sense.
There are also smaller things like Auris’s original JP name Orisu starting with an O just like Olivia’s name, but that’s not apparent in English with Auris. But Auris is undoubtedly a way better English name for her than Orisu.

Thanks. So simply put, sub-par used Succubus for 夜魔, Hakika used Succubus in the files for the characters he previously referred to as 夜魔, I should use Succubus for 夜魔 100%.
As a note, that means the Silver Tower final release will have its Night Demon enemies renamed as Succubus.
Also, does anyone have a lore/list of all the various gods mentioned in any of the games? It looks like Ghost Path 2 has a bunch of weird god-things in the battlers with katakana proper noun names, and those are always iffy to translate if they've got ambiguous kana.

Excluding Lisferia/Planetaria who were seemingly added last, the names of the characters introduced in Ghost Path all seem to have some sort of food pun as their name.
Shake is a Shake, Melt is a Melt, Wine is Wine, Mok is the sound of chewing, and I have no idea for Blanc, but I'm sure there's an equivalent there.
Since I haven't played Ghost Path 2, I don't know if there are any conversations that do wordplay on the character's names.
I couldn't figure out if there was any deeper meaning to "Ttela" as a name- my best guess is that it's a shortened name of something else, like Nutella(???) but that seems wrong, however I also find it hard to believe that she would randomly be spared from the "food name" rule.
I ended up going with Terra, but overall, my main takeaway is that I think I'm wrong, and I think Hakika is wrong too.

If you really want to get into the weeds, I may have misrepresented Wine's name as well, as you can actually find her name written as Wain, once, as an event name for her sprite being used in an endgame cutscene- I just couldn't personally accept that her name was Wain when I found that, though.

The main names I'd say I'm confident/would be okay sticking with would be Dorantz and Noizac, but it's kind of a toss-up on the others aside from Shaandor, I'd say.
Radul Badul is also probably fine, if for no other reason than that it's supposed to be a strange/funny sound, I'm pretty sure there's a kid somewhere in Ghost Path that kind of emphasizes this trait of it by treating the name like a pokemon/digimon's?

I didn't use any boosting waters for this fight but there are several RNG factors to take account of in the strat I used. First is the boss' pollution gimmick; as long as you don't get any MAG/ATK debuff on turns you are attacking you should be good, the rest of the debuffs do not matter since you are not using items and you are not taking any damage. Second is stunning the boss on turns 4 and 6, Digitalavisse uses either Miasmic Blast / Hydro Blast / Darkness Falls on these turns. Auris tanks the first 2 with aggro-drawing buffs like Incite/Trinity but Darkness Falls is a party wipe. You get 2 chances to stun with Auris/Lestea using Armored Blow/Nekodamashi. Last factor would be getting enough crits especially for Emela's brand nuke especially on Turn 7.

Soul Matter is kind of a bonus item - I beat that boss with just Rifar, Crowel, Rodio, and Hazuki and their ultimate weapons. You can get the Soul Matter though by collecting enough Junk and bringing it to the reaper mob in the underground stratum area. As for the fight, I remember waiting until the second turn to use my first bind (Crowel gets 1 and Hazuki gets 2), then watching its action psyyrtn to keep it from ever using Atonement for Justice, which hits with Surge damage (hard to defend against) and purges your buffs. So long as you equip your team with Dark-resisting gear and are immune to Instant KO and as many other status as possible, the Sin's attacks shouldn't do unsurvivable damage otherwise.

Are the mob encounters in Silver Tower and Erra Saga that egregiously repetitive as you go further in?
Atline's seems calculated such that every 8th or 10th step you take, they pop up. Seriously, it sucks. You can't comfortably play fucking anything. Escaping isn't even instantaneous given you have to run the command through the entire party, whereas in Blight all you had to do was click once. Moreover, the hostiles were detectable in advance and could be easily circumnavigated. They'd even flee you, the player, past a given level.
All you need for this game is to extend the cool down period in encountering enemies. I understand why he wanted to remake it now.
Anyone programmatically adept can probably create a quick and dirty solution to this, but since I'm retarded, such is my fate, left to comment and nothing beside. Fuck me.
