Highly agree with you anon. But although the Buddist take is solid, Toby was raised episcopalian. This may not be a huge indicator that he might have put some influence in his games but at the same time, saying that he didn't put anything would be false too. The concepts of angels, saviours, mercy, divinity etc... are example of this.
Not to mention that in chapter 4 Toby shifts the scene to a christian mass and most of the characters in town go, plus even the main character's family have gone multiple times in the pasg so people making assumptions that he's inflluence by christianity can be understandable, but desu the answer of whether or not Toby's games are christian depends on the perspective of the player at the end of the day.

Goes a bit deeper than that. It's very intentionally cultivating that kind of vibe. Not just creepypasta stuff, but super hidden content and glitches in general. You can tell Toby grew up spending a lot of time reading on GameFAQs forums about how to find the Triforce in Ocarina of Time or how to use the Ice Key/eggs in Banjo Kazooie. That and weird glitches like Missingno. in Pokemon inspired it as much as creepypastas I'm sure.
