Are there any other RPGs where you can play as something other than an adventurer/warrior?

The issue, if you wanna call it that, is that if you focus on a theme other than adventuring it all too easily becomes "X game with RPG elements" rather than "RPG about X"

The MOTHER series and Undertale/Deltarune re about kids, but you still go on an adventure and fight things.

I would, but I suspect you're specifically looking for a game where you play a drug addicted political science major talking about microaggressions with other academics, and it is the only game I'm familiar with that is like that.

What does that even mean? Stop trying to push this narrow definition of what RPG is.

Does Citizen Sleeper count as an RPG? If it does, you play as android wagie just trying to survive on space station and getting tangled in the lives of its residents as you try to make money and escape the Corporation that literally owns your body. Extremely left wing game though, wouldn't recommend if you can't deal with that

Deus Ex, hell it even dives into politics deep like Disco Elysium, although you don't have much freedom in choosing what to say in conversations

Should've put points on Volition or Endurance, or put points on skills in generals
