EU5
I haven't followed paralsop games at all, will it at least match EU4 as map painter or is it going to be a vaporware flop like that Finfag city builder and civ7?

Give me the rundown, fags.

There are a dozen EU5 threads already on /vst/. You stupid fucking faggot. Lurk or ask there, before making a new thread! You archived a thread I wanted to reply to!

>starts in high middle ages
its gonna be retarded for that reason alone. most people play 1-200 years and you barely hit columbus's voyages in that time, for a game about the early modern period

It’s a shame this is probably getting rushed out because they need a win after Bloodlines inevitably flops

I know you postrd this kinda casually, but after the reveal of the specs and the DLC calendar even their most ardent fans are starting to get a little unconfortable.

No. There is a zero percent chance this will be any good. It's not going to have the amount of content EU4 has, and its mobile game graphics and other features won't be enough to make it as interesting as EU4. Maybe in 10 years with a thousand dollars with of dlc.

This, and I don't know why it's such an unpopular opinion. It should begin with CK3 ends. But that would also require the CK3 team to make the late middle ages not empty and boring (impossible).

Guaranteed we get another start date just before the Thirty Years War.
As a DLC, of course.

Guaranteed? Maybe 1444 again at most, otherwise the research would take years

I prefer the more utilitarian look of 4, 5 is too shiny.

Honestly I feel the same way probably due to thousands of hours playing EU4 affecting my taste. EU5 UI looks like an upscaled EU3 UI at first glance imo.

but this is a Jokehan game. I don't think we'll get another start date, which is fine by me.

no, should have bought faster RAM. No matter how fat your sticks are. X3D needs all the speed. And more RAM, 32GB is standard by now

I heard the game is far less blobby as EU4 which I think is a good thing. I dropped EU because EU4 was so blobby compared to 3.

It should be in theory from all the changes they've done, but content creators have playtested stuff like Venice unifying Italy in 100 years with 0 coalitions or issues with aggressive expansion.

In theory yes on practice all yidtubbers that got early alpha managed to do continent wide blobbing without much issue
Remains to be seen how they'll balance it out on release but i think we will get another blobber just with more buttons

Oh okay. I never liked the blobbing in paradox games it turned me away from Stellaris too. One of the most fun EU3 games I ever had was as a 1 province minor in the HRE. The early game is so much fun with carefully navigating the diplomatic landscape. Doing ridiculous things should be possible I think but it should be very hard.

Stellaris is literally a 4x game.
Anonymous No.2128184
>>2128180
Yes but at first blobbing was kinda limited and then they've changed the game so you can get late game techs within the first 50 years or so. After they've dropped the purple mana as main resource of expansion, expension became much cheaper and trivial. The game emphasizes that your civilization has just discovered ftl technology. This shouldn't mean that you immediately should be able to colonize and conquer distant worlds from the get go in my opinion.
