Facts that Gurasimps can't deny:
Gura had one single stream the previous month (her birthday) she literally came back out of nowhere and started overlapping every single bijou stream (see attached image).
Her holocure stream on the 6th of august 2023 was her longest non 2021 stream ever. It almost perfectly matched the length of Bijou's stream that she was overlapping.
But I guess all of this was one massive coincidence.

I wish I saved the picture but one of the Nijis, maybe the eyepatch girl? Delayed their debut by a really odd amount of time, like 12 minutes, and Gura then immediately delayed her stream by that exact amount as well to keep it directly overlapping.

The EN market has declined in several ways since the first year of Myth after lockdowns ended. Yagoo believes the EN branch can match the revenue of the JP branch even though it has less than half the number of regular viewers. 3 new gens have barely kept the EN viewer base stable and HoloEN really did hit their peak in 2021. Hololive will remain the biggest vtuber corpo but the tremendous growth in the JP market will not be repeated in the EN market. HoloEarth may drain money from existing fans but it's unlikely to bring in new fans.

2022 was the year of fake smiles and the mood took a nose dive after Sana's graduation. Ina was openly telling viewers she was considering graduation and the number of "health" breaks in HoloEN kept increasing. Their view of management soured and in 2023 the combination of pedobait merch while debuting Biboo to compete with Gura only added fuel to the fire. Cover did treat Gura like an enemy and even her graduation live was low budget for a vtuber with 4.7 million subscribers. Ash Again was the most obvious sign of how bad things got with management but in terms of a timestamp that awkward response when Kiara brought up Yagoo and Gura having to avoid giving a snarky response. Gura did benefit from Hololive but she clearly did believe the company messed up and that all of the EN graduations could have been avoided. Be sure to help the remaining talents is somewhat of a backhanded compliment.

I doubt that Cover gives them exact dates for gen debuts but have the feeling that EN5 will debut in October or November. Cover might have briefly considered May but with all the Hololive graduations maybe they didn't want fans to feel like they were rushing out a new gen to replace talents. Also letting Sameko Saba debut and cool down was the safe choice for EN5.
