Her having a concert is not Cover's problem unless she's such an incredible cunt that she literally overlaps a HoloEN concert with her own.
Regardless, what was Yagoo supposed to do? The only way to keep her would have been to throw even more money at her and he was already literally paying her to do nothing.

Don't forget the bogos binted skibidi toilet stuff. Although I will say EN still has some super high quality girls in it however, it is not totally out of gas

However despite many of the recent graduates barely streaming besides Fauna, these were some of the most engaging and flavorful personalities of the branch especially in collabs (well not really Ame but the others absolutely).

Today's EN is more like an okay but blandish meal, sometimes in need of a bit of salt and pepper. Even if mooms and gura weren't streaming much, they were still at least a possibility to be the backup insurance for kino, like knowing we at least did have sugar and spices etc in the cupboard that potentially could still be used sometimes. But now it's exactly "what you see is what you get" and there isn't that reassuring feeling. And a permanent feeling of loss that a lot of nice things and interactions with the branch are a factual impossibility now.

They let Ame go.
What they didn't know was that Gura only stayed because of Ame.
After Ame left, there was nothing they could do to keep Gura.
They should have worked harder to keep Ame.

I'm guessing the newest Holo hires are under more strict contracts to prevent exactly this from happening. Truth is they likely didn't expect HoloEN to take off, likely thinking they'd have a niche Stars or ID style fanbase.

She probably didn't want to deal with being the front person for an entire company where everything she does and says could harm her coworkers. That and getting projects cancelled I assume.

>Why did Cover let Gura go?
It's simple (shrimple).

Japanese salarymen managers thought they could command the top talents (Gura, Mumei, Fauna, Ame). That isn't the case for Westerners. Managers are seen in the West as facilitators who "manage" problems rather than leaders. The talents themselves in the Western conception are leaders.

So because Gura and the other girls would not kowtow to come wageslave nobody, they got fired/left the company. You can't tell the people who drive your success that they must listen to some non-creative gook in his 20s.

>Gura is a lazy asshole
If she were lazy, she'd have joined the affiliate program and earned money effortlessly from her IP. Instead, she took the bold route, rejected the easy path, and cut ties with Cover, ending the IP entirely. Starting fresh and rebuilding from scratch? That's the opposite of lazy. Lazy is staying in a corporate setup, following orders, and just "making the donuts." Cover's new direction is holding EN back. More Enreco to come. What a waste of money and time. Gura's least popular VOD of her whole career. Forced to do more of that if she stayed in.

As shown, Saba does not need to rely on a corpo to be successful. And she'll keep doing it again.
Must be a relief that she can keep all the she earned, instead of a corpo profiting off of her success like the last 5 years.

You mean like she did for most of 2022, and 2025, and all of 2023 and 2024?
>Instead, she took the bold route, rejected the easy path, and cut ties with Cover, ending the IP entirely. Starting fresh and rebuilding from scratch?
Anon her entire indie career thus far has just been "Hey did you know you I was Gawr Gura from Hololive!?" In fact it's such a unfreash start that she basically copy-pasted Gura's aesthetic onto her new persona, it's such a lazy rehash lol
>Cover's new direction is holding EN back
More like it's separating the wheat from the chaff
It's pretty clear a lot of the girls who left either don't care for (or Mumei's case literally can't participate) for a lot of the idolshit and multitude of concerts that Cover has the girl doing more recently
In fact, it's not surprising that all of the ENs who left were hired pre-2022, i.e when COVID lockdowns prevented them from including ENs in a lot of that stuff
>As shown, Saba does not need to rely on a corpo to be successful. And she'll keep doing it again.
Again, her entire success as Saba leans very on the fact she was popular as an corpo, she'd have a fraction of the popular if it weren't for that. We saw what it looked like she tired to stream as Sen and her celling was being a mid-3view

Something that Saba understands that corpos do not, is that it is the fans that ultimately choose who becomes popular. Taking away her freedom is what pushed her out.
Corpos are known to search for diamonds in the rough, but Gura was already polished. Senzawa had more subscribers than any in Hololive before joining. Senzawa was the third most subscribed vtuber in the world, to be beaten by Gawr Gura. Her run to 4 million was her ability to attract those outside of the vtuber niche. Before her disagreements with Cover and starting to write that Ash Again song, she was still growing strong. It would be over 5 million subs easily by now. Blame Cover to cause her to quiet quit and to start preparing to "Do it Again."

Is it a coincidence that Myth's greatest years were when they were separated from Cover, having to do most everything by themselves? Shit went downhill fast when they got more involved, almost killing EN. Giving Cover too much recognition for EN's success.

>Something that Saba understands that corpos do not, is that it is the fans that ultimately choose who becomes popular.
If she actually understood that then she would've bothered to stream a lot more considering her streams were/are popular
>Taking away her freedom is what pushed her out.
You sound like circa 2021 Vshojofag ranting about "muh talent freedum" lol
Tell me, what "freedom" did they take from her?
If anything they gave her TOO much freedom considering they allowed her to basically sit around with her thumb up her ass for 75% of her career, instead making her stream or create music
>Senzawa had more subscribers than any in Hololive before joining.
That's honestly not really saying much considering the overwhelming majority of Hololive memebers pre-Myth were all NND users
>Senzawa was the third most subscribed vtuber in the world
Calling Senzawa a "vtuber" and the "third must subbed" is really a stretch, man lol
Her actual attempt at vtubing with the "Senzawa" persona was really short lived all things considering, and as mentioned before she basically peaked at being a 3view, furthermore her subscribes mostly came from a lot of the short-form meme videos she posted as opposed to streams (she didn't even stream on that channel, she used twitch)
>Her run to 4 million was her ability to attract those outside of the vtuber niche
Her run to 4 million, while admittingly impressive; was mostly just her coasting along from the benefit debuting during vtubers biggest "boom" period and the algorithm being in love with her channel
She rarely, if ever really *did* anything to reach people outside of the vtuber niche besides passively exist, she was able to reach those people because Youtube itself was quite literally placing her on their doorstep
>starting to write that Ash Again song
Casey Edwards wrote it, and also I doubt the song corresponds to her "disagreements", it was likely written months before she had even decided to quit
>she was still growing strong. It would be over 5 million subs easily by now.
That's doubtful
Her sub rate slowed MASSIVELY thanks to being MIA most of the time, even when she would occasionally stream, it wouldn't really budge all that much
>Blame Cover to cause her to quiet quit and to start preparing to "Do it Again."
I blame her abusing her potion as "the most subbed vtuber" to basically to basically hold Cover, and her co-workers in Hololive hostage for several years, as well endlessly leading her fans on like carrot on a stick to horse

>before she had even decided to quit
Though the song took nearly two years to create, her "uh oh" tweet from her Senzawa account signaled she was done. She had already begun voicing discontent with management during her membership streams.
Despite any deal with Cover to keep her on, she effectively became an affiliate, finishing her projects with corporate obligations. Cover continued to underestimate her, yet Guranium and Shushiro merch sold out in under a week for both month-long events. Her merch, like iPass, kept shattering records. Exhausted from HoloFes with no rest, she flew straight to Taiwan for promotions, proving karaoke could drive concert attendance.
>Her sub rate slowed MASSIVELY thanks to being MIA most of the time,
Ironically, when Gura and Ina were on break, it was only those two still getting new subs in Myth. You forgot how dead EN became, other than Fauna, thanks to Cover's direction. Gura was still retaining high subs for a long while before the algorithm dropped her.

Gura didn't just cause millions to fall down the rabbit hole from the West, but for the whole world. She still has large number of fans from Russia, Singapore, and even China. And the worst thing about losing Gura, is that Cover gained a fierce competitor. Her strength is yet to be seen. She plans on doing concerts and already has Tecmo following her new account.

I don't believe frequency of streams and popularity directly correlate for her and that's probably what set her apart from other vtubers. Most of the audience she attracted and continues to attract were outside the vtuber audience who don't watch live streams, (what one would consider a casual or normal fag basically) but clips and past VODs. Even for her current vids, there are comments of randos saying the VOD came up as a rec who had never seen this type of content before. It's unfortunate that she would stop streaming for months at a time starting end of 2022, but I'm of the belief if she had sporadically streamed a few times a month most people wouldn't have even noticed as long as they were getting drip fed since youtube algorithm would give the illusion of there being new stuff. Guraโ€™s global fanbase across multiple time zones makes CCV an unreliable metric for her popularity. While others may boast higher CCV, Guraโ€™s VODs amass a million views in under a month. On YouTube, ad revenue comes from VODs, not ad-free streams, meaning Guraโ€™s earnings far exceed what her CCV suggests.

I assure the both of you that she was still having frequent "why wasn't this an email" type of corporate meetings in addition to legitimate project meetings during those times. Asian companies particularly those from Japan and Korea and Taiwan are notorious for draining your soul (I'm currently in one because my company was acquired recently) along with language barrier. Relook at her live views. Other than the charity streams, they are lower than Gura's worst VOD (ENRECO) of her whole career.

And it's not about total views. The streaming views don't make squat since there are no ads, but the views after streaming on the VOD are what make money on YouTube. Gura gets many VOD views after streaming.

Avg views per vid are important here because we have established Guraโ€™s popularity isnโ€™t coming primarily from streams when they are Live but when they are over. Gura has some sort โ€œborn with silver spoonโ€ attribute where each VOD attracts a higher level of engagement compared to her fellow Myth members. It indicates that either more of her content is enjoyable (which is why peeps keep pointing out she attracts people who normally donโ€™t watch vtubers) or that others like Mori have lots of uninteresting VODs with low levels of viewership dragging the average down.

Ok?
That's more of a byproduct of the fact that Gura streamed significantly less often than Mori and thus her VoD have more time to accumulate views

>Final solo stream from 2 months ago

In comparison Mori

>Charity collab from 3 days ago
>Charity collab from 4 days ago

>Normal solo stream from 11 days ago
>Normal solo stream from 12 days ago

My point wasn't "who gets the most VoD views between Gura and Mori on average" it was "Mori pulls a good amount of viewership from VoD views on average"
Which is why you can't see that she had more total and monthly views than Gura and handwave it by saying "its all because of music" No it's not

My point is that live stream views, which lack ads, generate minimal revenue. Itโ€™s the ad-supported VOD views post-stream that drives earnings. The number of ads watched is what counts. Moriโ€™s still raking in money, but VOD views after streaming canโ€™t match Guraโ€™s.

Again, it's not about total vod views.
If want to argue that she makes more than Gura streaming once a month, you win.
Gura gets most of her views after streaming, and that is what makes ad revenue. More ads, more money. That does not come from streaming that has no ads. Get it?
Gura having a worldwide audience that watches her VODs, actually makes her more money, than watching her live.
When Gura was not streaming, her channel was still receiving more views than most all vtubers, and she doesn't have many songs.
Her dead Senzawa account got 781,030 views in the month of Oct, 2022. It continually gets thousands of views daily, though it has skyrocketed recently.

Advent is great and all, but they're not the ones we all spent 3 years with at the height of the vtubing boom
It feels like part of HoloEN's soul is missing, and adding new talents isn't going to fix that feeling

This shit is the problem. I'd happily enjoy watching HoloEN again if they removed the worst offenders.
Why can't Cover understand we want to watch cute weeb girls and not twitch whores who enjoy making league of legends jokes and regurgitating tiktok content?

Because that's not what Cover does. Most holoJPs aren't weeb girls either, they are a niconico equivalent of twitch whores. If you don't rike - look for a different company.

Yes, she fucking did. Permenant damage doesn't mean her voice has disappeared or something retarded. Because of what she went through she has less vocal stamina than before and is more likely to reinjure herself in the future if she isn't careful.

Yes. The person producing goods is still getting results while another person is continuously producing goods that don't give the same level of engagement
