>When you think about how a single JP Holomem can effortlessly fill a 20,000-seat venue, it really shows just how small EN’s influence is—let alone Saba’s.
Even JP boards admit that Gura was the only one in EN comparable to the JP branch.
Gura could do karaoke and fill in the seats.
Cover kept underestimating Gura, her merch selling out by day 2 for month-long Guranium and Sushiro events. IPass breaking records, selling more than Marvel and Disney. Continual re-releases of her Nendoroid....3 or 4? Gura was probably fed up with Cover's faith in her.. Chumbuds are not poorfags.

Yes, Cover benefited greatly from Gura. They rely on 20% of their talents to bring in 80% of their income.
They have to use their own money, some taking loans from Cover, for many of those projects.
Now, Saba is no longer carrying others and corporate's decisions and is directly helping herself. Cover kept underestimating Gura, with merch that didn't last past day 2 of both Guranium and Sushiro.
Saba has only started, and the sponsors are coming to her. With Cover no longer taking 50% of her merch, membership, and ad revenue.

If Cover had Gura Sololives or karaoke concerts, she might still be there.

They raised the bar on what to expect from an indie concert. To be honest, only two featured stars. Expect more to attend future events.

But with a fish, a karaoke would be enough to sell out.
/vt/ - Why did Cover let Gura go?

>before she had even decided to quit
Though the song took nearly two years to create, her "uh oh" tweet from her Senzawa account signaled she was done. She had already begun voicing discontent with management during her membership streams.
Despite any deal with Cover to keep her on, she effectively became an affiliate, finishing her projects with corporate obligations. Cover continued to underestimate her, yet Guranium and Shushiro merch sold out in under a week for both month-long events. Her merch, like iPass, kept shattering records. Exhausted from HoloFes with no rest, she flew straight to Taiwan for promotions, proving karaoke could drive concert attendance.
>Her sub rate slowed MASSIVELY thanks to being MIA most of the time,
Ironically, when Gura and Ina were on break, it was only those two still getting new subs in Myth. You forgot how dead EN became, other than Fauna, thanks to Cover's direction. Gura was still retaining high subs for a long while before the algorithm dropped her.

Gura didn't just cause millions to fall down the rabbit hole from the West, but for the whole world. She still has large number of fans from Russia, Singapore, and even China. And the worst thing about losing Gura, is that Cover gained a fierce competitor. Her strength is yet to be seen. She plans on doing concerts and already has Tecmo following her new account.
