Well the real hard truth is that they were too lazy to learn Japanese. Everyone would have promised to make an attempt to get better but they never did even though it was an important side skill to develop for their job. That is why even Kronii who looked to be struggling has won out in the end. She did her best to improve her Japanese. Also why Biboo & Fuwamoco have all in JP like Cali.

It was never about project this or that. If your oshi is not improving her Japanese she will be gone from Hololive in 4 years at most.
