I found it pretty easy to set up when I did it, plus they usually have managers or friends to help them along with the process, and youtube videos of exactly what buttons to press are much easier for girls to process than the demonstration of how to actually do a physical activity. The amount of times women I know have built IKEA furniture the wrong way round is upsetting

afaik twitch has started trying to cull bots the same way youtube does, it doesn't cull lurkers by default but probably gets some of them. the issue is twitch streamers are super used to have thing viewcounts include bots and people who are sleeping who have just been passed around in a raid loop or left their device on and gone somewhere else for hours
