Cover is not alone in this. I work for a company that sits in the middle of the supply chain for major US retailers and restaurants. The impact of tariffs is very obvious and very bad. A bunch of our customers are seeing sales stagnate, are pausing expansions, are pausing hiring, or are going out of business entirely. I almost can't believe it isn't front-page news every day.
My guess is that there are three factors keeping this from feeling like a panic: (1) the stock market looks fine even though "stock market is not the economy" and (2) both companies and consumers are burning through existing stocks of goods and/or existing savings, (3) the business that are closing first are smaller mom-and-pop companies, and so people don't perceive it as systemic.

Japan is the only reason the Hololive numbers are still going up. Yagoo was delusional to think the EN market could generate the same revenue as the JP market.

Fatigue, mostly. It was spammed constantly during the first few months, now Americans have just rolled over and accepted that they will be paying a flat baseline 20% tax on all their goods indefinitely. This includes American goods btw, since an increase in both scarcity and supply chain costs directly translates to price increases across all sectors of the economy. It is so unbelievably destructive that it straight boggles the mind that there are idiots who actually support this policy

It's not just tariffs, it's Cover's absolutely retarded shipping prices compared to literally any other online store in Japan. It's one thing for merch to be $30-50 more due to tariffs, it's another for shipping to randomly be $80-150 for a few small items.

Anon, you are fucking retarded.

I really do not understand why Americans think that if something is inherently more expensive it MUST be better quality. No, retard. It's more expensive because doing business in America is more expensive. Why the fuck do you think manufacturing went overseas in the first place? You're not going to receive better quality merchandise. You are going to receive either merchandise of the same quality or more likely, of inferior quality. Why? Because American manufacturers don't have to worry about competing with overseas manufacturers and so will just make slop to save on costs whilst maintaining high prices.

Harley Davidson is an amazing example of this. Their bikes, fucking suck, yet they are expensive. Why? Because for 50 years the US tariffed the shit out Japanese bikes which would have completely broken the American motorcycle industry which left Harley Davidson with almost no competition and so felt no need to innovate or improve outside of reducing costs of manufacture to maximize profit.

Anon, how exactly does this make sense? Manufacturing moving overseas is such a tiny part of the generational wealth gap it's not fucking funny and sinking your entire economy to try and reverse such an insignificant problem is beyond retarded.

What fucked America was it's failure to tax ultra-wealthy people, corporations and not putting more stringent restrictions on corporate lobbying. It has very little to do with the fact that America doesn't manufacture forks and and mouse pads.

The fact that they haven't added alternatives to DHL is insane.
I've gotten stuff shipped from China via USPS and it's like
>$10 for the thing
>$3 to ship
>$1.50 in tariffs

Meanwhile DHL
>$60 for merch
>$25 for shipping
>$4 in taxes
>$10 in tariffs
>$20 in DHL "fees"
So instead of being 15% more on top, it becomes like a 85% price increase and DHL is skimming off the top.

Liberal media proved they would absolutely bend the truth especially behind racial violence which made people lose all faith behind what the media was telling them. Given the media are also in-bed with politicians, people lost all faith in regular politicians. So now people don't know who is telling the truth and will just go with whatever they feel is the truth regardless of external evidence because they have no way to verify that external evidence because of inherent mistrust of authorities who were meant to report things neutrally.

Trump came to collect the toll with the tariffs. Ensuring each country pay their respective fee to the best country in the world. ICE is doing a wonderful job cleaning the filth that has stained the US. Those illegals who only steal American jobs and commit crimes are lucky ICE is merciful enough to let them leave alive. They simply mock the challenger which breeds resentment and a lack of trust that the other side will ever act in good faith which has resulted in people 'doing their own' research and coming to false or poor conclusions but believing them anyway because they can't trust the media, politicians or academia because they deliberate antagonize people.

Believe me or not, it doesn't matter. This is how people feel and the more you continue down this path the more resent is bred and the more people will throw their support behind any man who will at least pretend to listen to them.

The new Hololive business model is constant merch shilling. At least with the anniversary and birthday merch it's for the talent but it's getting harder to convince EN fans to spend their money on generic merch. When 95% of the money from generic merch goes to Cover and they are spending it on HoloEarth so they can sell even more digital goods than it does feel like a scam.

E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services, or the transmitting of funds or data, over an electronic network, primarily the internet. These business transactions occur either as business-to-business, business-to-consumer, consumer-to-consumer or consumer-to-business. The terms e-commerce and e-business are often used interchangeably. The term e-tail is also sometimes used in reference to transactional processes for online shopping
