As for the audience, they will judge said output in cold terms, based solely on the merit and not taking in account any personal circumstances by the artist.

That’s why the “idol route” is a thing. The idol audience will tolerate even subpar content because they’re not in for the content itself but for the idol and her growth.
The audience of an artist will, on the other hand, judge the content for the quality.

The fact Lui ended up taking a huge dive in her metrics was because of exactly that. From the moment she disclosed
