Really, if anyone should be using their real voice it should be the talents that sing and want to do idol stuff. Singing, voice acting, doing screams and yells, all of that shit is super hard on your voice and all of those vtubers who do it for hours on end several times a week are eventually going to burn out their voices. Especially cause they don't seem to do any voice exercises (e.g., SOVTEs) like it's recommended for people doing any kind of long or strenuous recording sessions. We're really already seeing some of it and you can probably make a pretty sizable list of vtubers who have retired due to voice damage or have spoken about struggling with their voice or needing a break to help their voice heal (but then not actually taking a proper break).
