It's a shame the story sucks so bad because the racing scenes, even the 1st stage animations, are extremely kino.

I wanted to off myself really badly but initial d clips make me so happy.
The first stage specifically is so fucking good. The 90s animation, the music, takumi being the underdog, it gives me goosebumps like crazy.
Really wish I could forget about it and watch it again.
anyone know any other shows like this where the character is underestimated but really good? I only know of OPM.
