>>5919462i never really found liminal stuff or these wierd surreal depictions of mundane areas scary or disturbing, they were always kinda comforting, it reminds me of being a kid and being scared of the dark and being alone, it feels like an adventure is waiting for me in these pictures and i'll get to see all the things i thought were there as a kid, it feels more fascinating and nostalgic then watching an old cartoon or something cause it taps into that part of the brain that was the biggest parts of our sense of wonder, sad that the genre is so oversaturated by people who don't understand that and are scared by walls in an abandoned sears or something, but thats what always happens with retro stuff being brought back by zoomers
